Got this as a gift from a friend...really clever stories, and each are a perfect length for the young pre-teen at bedtime, or to read on his/her own.

I recently bought copies of Kid Tales for my son and a friend's daughter. The children absolutely love the stories. They are short enough that I can go through one or two before bedtime. The stories are great for children because they combine aspects of the everyday world and the fantastic world of imagination. The stories also stimulate children to come up with visual images inside their head to accompany the stories. They are not spoon-fed generic illustrations. I recommend this to anybody who wants to stimulate the imagination of a young mind!
