We were looking for a way to increase our family communication during dinner and to allow each child in the family to have equal "floor time" for their comments. The cards contain great topics, are creative, and enhance spontaneous discussion. Great buy!

I bought this so we would spend some quality time at the table and boy did it work.My husband works alot of hours and is so used to eating and jumping up from the table. These cards really go all of us talking and the kids have been eating more and not bouncing around at the table.Even my 2yr old likes to listen to our answers and has been much more behaved at dinner!

Wonderful for childrens sleep overs, parties and family gatherings. Get the ball rolling with this delightful game. How nice-no violence-just good old fashion fun. Highly recommend.

A little disappointing. Our family has to skim through a few cards before we find one that seems fun.

Don't believe everything you read,

I bought these to use with my kids, but found that they didn't find the ideas at all interesting. Personal interest varies, of course. It seems to me that we have more interesting conversations than the ones suggested in the deck on a regular basis. My main issue with these cards, however, is that many of the "facts" listed on the cards are completely incorrect. Don't beleive everything you read, and particularly with this card deck- find out if the "fact" it lists is truly a "fact". One could take this in an entirely different educational direction than it was intended, but a research project wasn't what I was looking for.

I bought these on a whim because they were so inexpensive and I am glad I did. My kids were 6,4,2 and newborn when we got them, so really only my 6 and 4 year olds could participate. Even still, I think you have to be at least 4 and even 5 or 6 years old would be more suitable. Still, they loved when I would get these out and it's really fun to have your kids listening and engaged all together. It was a really low price when I bought them so if you're looking for something fun to do with your kids while you're at the table, or killing time somewhere, these are great. You can pass them on to someone else when you've gone through all of them, or save them for a year or two and start over and see how the answers change!

Best Dinner Game Yet,
By
This review is from: Kid Talk: Conversation Cards for the Entire Family (Tabletalk Conversation Cards) (Cards)
Kids are 3 & 5, they love it at meal times, it keeps them at the table eating for a long time! Normally they want to be excused and go off to play, leaving 90% of their dinner on their plate. This game is great for all ages. We (the adults) join in and our youngest was playing it when she was 2. You learn a few facts along the way too. Basically each card has the top half with factual information about something, then at the bottom are questions like what animal would you want to be, what would you eat, how would you spend your day, where would you want to travel to, how would you get there, who would you take with you, etc
We have a few dinner game products, but this one is the only one so far that allows the kids to both play at the same time, involving the whole family in conversation together and it allows them to continue to eat while playing and it doesn't take up a bunch of space on the table. It's educational and fun! :)

These were ok, card were nice but the questions were not easy they were really in depth, more like something you would use for school instead of fun with friends which I had hoped!

Got these for those "extra moments" in Children's Church that we need to fill up. Thought it might help build relationships among the kids. The first few cards were pretty good, but some kids still "passed" on answering. After that, I had to skip like 4-5 cards in order to find another good one. I think this would be good in family settings (which is what is designed for, I think), but not in larger or unfamiliar groups.
