I purchased mine from Walmart as it's the cheapest price. Although, I did return the first one and the second one I modified for longer durability. Once it's purchased use fender washers for the front wheels as the bushings that rotated on the axle did separate from the wheel. The wire from the driver's side motor did break but one call to customer service and they'll give you the whole right side motor installed in the gearbox, where it takes five minutes to replace.

The reason for giving it five stars is because it's a very well made piece with a steel frame. It's detail is top notch and my son absolutely loves it! He rides it all the time. It goes excellent on off-road through tall grass and rough terrain. After looking at the Fischer Price Power Wheels and having an old Barbie Jeep that still works, the Kid Trax Dodge blows it out of the water! The Power Wheels gets stuck in normal grass where the Kid Trax will easily go up any hill or off asphalt terrain. Though, in order for the off-road capability the high speed gear needs to be selected as both motors, one on each side, turn the wheels. I have a video showing the off-road capability that I need to post online.

Kid Trax does have 95% of the Dodge engineered well but, it's just quirks and missed areas of the truck that needs addressed. Though, I still feel it's a better vehicle than what's offered.

I had read the reviews on this and they weren't good, but my son really wanted it so I bought it anyway. The reviews were true! The truck reverse broke the first day. The wire that connects the reverse comes loose. I kept taking it apart and reconnecting it. After about 9 months the truck won't work at all, my husbands shop workers couldn't even fix it the final time. It is junk.

I purchased this for my son for christmas 2 years ago, within the first week i had to re-wire it, i have drilled and re-soltered every wire going to each gear box at least 2x thats at least 8x i have taken this thing apart and repaired it, within 6mo of owning it the rear bumper (the grey part) just broke off randomly, and the little hinge that keeps the truck bed down broke keeping it permanently leaving the back of it in the dump position and now after only 2 years of constantly fighting with it and it being broken 1/2 the time the rear passengers side gearbox finally went out, considering this thing was one of the most expensive 'powerwheels' i expect alot more. also i noticed the top of the battery looks as if its going to pop off and the battery gets very hot when you charge it for the 12 hours it recommends. save your money and just get a regular power wheels, at least there is some support with those and parts are easy to come bye.

Pros:
it has rubber on the tires, so the wheel to road noise isnt nearly as loud as the competitors
it has some cool features with the sound affects, battery notification
my son Loved the dump feature of bed and the working lights
it is more powerful than other trucks, it didn't have any difficulty going thru grass and over bumps
and even even went a lot faster than others

Cons:
IT BREAKS CONSTANTLY!!!!! and the way its wired its very easy to just drive over a stick and rip the wire out again. i ended up taping the wires up after i was forced to extend them in order to repair it.
