This sandbox is very nice looking, easy to assemble and has been a great addition to our outdoor play. Great size, the seats are just right and the play room is fantastic. Comes with a cover that keeps our pets from digging. Super product for the price overall. I suggest placing heavy duty garden tarp under the sand.

Great product, easy to put together, my daughter loves it. The small, plastic "turtle" sandboxes are good for younger children/toddlers, but when your child gets a bit bigger, they need more room to play! This 5x5 size is perfect for older kids who really like to dig and build in the sand. It was so easy to put together- and yes, it smelled terrible right out of the packaging as the box warned me, but that smell quickly went away by the time it was together. I would reccommend this to anyone looking for a good, sturdy sandbox for their growing child who needs more room to play. The seats are strong enough for Mom or Dad to sit and play w/ their child, as well.

This is a great sandbox and my husband said it was very easy to put together. We treated it with Thompsons water seal to help it last longer. Our daughter has a lot of fun in it. The only complaint is the cover is rediculous. It does not come to the edges well so if you have leaves they will get into the box and it is a pain to put on and off. We ordered a separate universal cover from e-bay that works much better.

My twin 3 year old boys love this sandbox! I have been assembling products for years, and this was by far the easiest (with a hex key bit in my power screwdriver). The hardware was clearly labeled, and each piece fit together perfectly. So far, the cover has worked to keep the neighborhood cats and leaves out. The boys have learned how to take the cover off by themselves. Great sandbox.

Nice sandbox. Couple of things to note - the sandbox does not have a bottom. You need to put something under it so that the sand doesn't ruin whatever surface you place the sandbox on. Also, this comes with a mesh cover. It will keep the sand in the box, but it will not keep the sandbox completely dry if it rains. Overall, great look and sturdy box. My 2 year old son loves to play in it - it is a good purchase.

Trying to figure out how to give this company feed back. AWESOME sand box, but one of our seats showed up literally held together by wood putty.

My kids love this sandbox! There is plenty of room for the two of them- and I think another small child or two could comfortably fit. I think we used 15 50lb bags of sand. My husband had no trouble putting it together and it seems to be holding up well, even in the winter weather. It looks nice in the backyard. The only negative I can think of is that the cover doesn't do much except keep leaves out.

I have two little boys, one of whom is too small to play in a sandbox yet, but I wanted to make sure we got a sandbox that would be large enough for them both once he gets old enough. Those little plastic crab and turtle sandboxes are so cute, but I thought they would be too small. The Kidkraft Backyard Sandbox is just what we were looking for! It's plenty large enough for multiple kids to play, and the bench seats in the corners are very handy. They are sturdy enough for me to sit on, too.

As for fun value, my not-quite-three-year-old will play in there indefinitely. He spent hours in it the day we filled it, and about an hour of that was without any toys!

The sandbox was easy to put together, and is made of high quality wood. We just put a tarp under it to hold in the sand. The cover works fine to keep out leaves, cats, etc. We put in 15 50-lb. bags of sand, and it probably needs another 2 or 3, just to give folks an idea of how much it will hold.

Bottom line, great sandbox and a great way to keep your kids entertained for hours!

I was building out my master plans to build my son's a sandbox...perhaps its my need to over-engineer things, but it wasn't going to be cheap and also not the most fun of projects I could be doing. Then I found this Kidcraft sandbox and thought I'd give it a shot. It's now been in place for a month and the kids LOVE it! It was a breeze to assemble and took about 14 50lb bags of sand to fill up. The netting to cover it has worked well through the first few rains and I think does a decent job of keeping critters out, but come winter ill be tarping this off to keep it lasting a bit longer.

I bought this sandbox for my 2 children (3 year old boy and 7 year old girl)...they both LOVE it! It is 5'X5', which is pretty big for a backyard sandbox. We have some neighbors who also came over to play and we had 5 kids in there at the same time. There was plenty of room for everyone. It is very easy to assemble and took two of us less than 20 minutes to put together. There is no bottom, which makes it great if you do not have a level yard. We used a tarp and stapled it to the inside of the sandbox. We used 17 bags of play sand and that seems sufficient. The cover that comes with it is kind of flimsy, but seems to be okay. Overall, this is a great sandbox. It's sturdy, looks great and is big enough for many kids to play at once. Highly recommended!
