They only will replace parts within 90 days of purchase and they have no way of selling them to you otherwise.

The actual sandbox is great and big enough for several kids.

My daughter loves the sandbox but I am always a little worried about letting her play in the ones at the park for fear of animal feces and other unexpected things. Therefore, I decided to purchase this sandbox. It was fairly easy to put together, although you have to pay close attention because some of the parts look the same. They are individually marked though. It is very, very solid. We had a very bad storm recently with 50 mph winds that knocked everything in our yard over, including our table. The sandbox did not move an inch. The canopy did not even come off!

It is made of solid wood. However, there is no bottom to the sandbox, it's just a plastic tarp. As long as you don't plan on moving it, that does not pose a problem. It has plenty of room. 3-4 toddlers can comfortably play in it. It also has a nice seating area for adults to sit. It does need a lot of sand to fill it but we were able to purchase our sand for $3 per 50 pound bag so the cost is not too bad. We bought 8 bags.

The one thing I do not like about this sandbox is that the canopy does not stop the sand from getting soaked. It would have been nice if either the canopy or the cover they provide with it were water proof because after a heavy rain my dughter cannot play in the sandbox for several days until it dries out.

Overall this sandbox is excellent and I would definitely buy it again.

Update: October 30, 2012
I live in an area hit by hurricane Sandy. There are trees down all over my area, as well as downed power lines and flooding. I went outside this morning to check on the sandbox and it only moved a foot! The whole structure is still intact. The only thing we need to do is get a new tarp for the bottom because when the sandbox was moved (winds were 85-90 mph) it ripped the tarp. Now THAT is good quality!

This arrived in a million different pieces and it looked like a nightmare to put together but it was not as bad as I thought. Kidcraft keeps it simple and it is made of nice wood and is pretty large although not as big as I thought. The mesh cover it comes with is worthless since it is like a net, had to buy a tarp. I would highly recommend though since this is durable and has storage bins and is large enough for 4 kids. 15 bags of play sand to fill!

The actual sandbox is great and big enough for several kids. The canopy is held up with flimsy poles and the canopy itself could be stronger. I wish the sandbox came with an actual cover to keep the animals out of it.

Grandpa was going to build one and then we saw this gem with it's canopy. It shipped on time. It is made of good quality material which fit together as it should. Our grandson love it and it looks like it will last for many years.

We have had this sandbox for just two years and it is falling apart and very warped. It is a great design and my kids loved it, but it did not hold up well. Very poor materials.

We purchased this item two years ago in June 2012 (not through Amazon). Overall we are not happy with the condition it is in after two years of use.

Pros:
It is a great looking sandbox when first assembled. Large enough for several young kids to play together, canopy is nice sun shelter, kids enjoyed using the plastic bins to hold water for various uses.

Cons:
Two of the support braces in the front (under the ledge you step on to get into the box) broke off within a couple months of use. It did not affect the structural soundness of the ledge, but it made it look bad cosmetically. More importantly, after two years the wood looks horrible. I understand the Pacific NW gets a lot of rain, and it is really hard on outdoor wood items, but for the price we paid for this we expected the wood to hold up better physically and cosmetically. It looks so bad this year we are tearing it apart and using the wood for camping firewood.

Overall we are very disappointed in this product and wish it had held up better. It is just an eyesore in our backyard now.

We did a lot of research before deciding on this product. We've had it about 2 months now and it is already showing signs of warping. There is a greenish color around the nots of the wood on the seating section of the sandbox. I have contacted the manufacturer and they are sending me replacement parts but there is a Maintenance section that says you HAVE to STAIN the box with an oil based sealant.
