This is a fantastic little bookcase; perfect for our son's cars, trains, and planes theme room. It could be a little bigger for tall books but overall it is a nice size and a great buy for the price.

We bought this item for our children library. We are very pleased with it! Our children love it and it has enough space for many books, except that big size books might not always fit, but most books will. The colors are beautiful and fun...the size is perfect for any age! We would recommend it to anyone interested in buying a bookcase for their children!

I got this for my almost 3 year old son and he loves it. As other reviewers have said, none of the shelves are large enough for the bigger books. The bottom shelf is the largest and it's just under 11" (about 10 3/4"). A classic Dr. Seuss book is just over 11", so it won't fit on the bookcase unless you lay it down. We have the smaller and normal sized books up the upper shelves and the oversized ones laying down on the bottom. Overall it's a wonderful bookcase for my son.
As far as the packaging/assembly/stability of the product goes... The packaging was fine, the instructions were clear and easy to follow and once it was put together it was very sturdy. My only complaint with it was that the wood was stripped where we had to put 1 screw. I wouldn't even mention that if I hadn't bought the KidKraft Racecar Toddler Bed (Linked here: KidKraft Racecar Toddler Bed ) at the same time and had the same problem with 4 of the screws on it - The screws were fine, but the wood was not. On the plus side, I called up the customer service number on the instructions and they were very helpful. I needed 2 replacement parts because 2 of the screws were in places that really needed the stability and they sent it out immediately, I received the new parts in less than a week and had no problem with them.
