4.0 out of 5 stars Cute kid's stool, and fun to put together
This product is quite well made - all the parts fit together neatly and intuitively. It doesn't seem like it would hold up well under an adult's weight, but it's more than adequate for my 2-year-old to climb up to the toilet. And it has a little storage compartment, which he enjoys opening and closing.

3.0 out of 5 stars There are better stools out there
We have two of these for our boys. We bought these when our boys were 2 & 3, now they are 5 & 6 - have had the stools for 3 years.

Pro: These are cute and durable step stools. They haven't chipped, broken, or paint worn off which is quite an achievement. They wipe down easily. They are pretty light and easy to move. The boys really like them...

The boys really like them.

Con: The stool really isn't high enough for them to brush their teeth or wash their hands. In their younger years, they couldn't reach the water stream or water taps so they needed help and lifting for a solid rinse. Even now, my 5 year old (who is a average height range (50th percentile) for is age) can't reach over the sink to spit out his toothpaste (so he spits alot on the counter - ick). Also, depending on your floor, the red paint rubs off. We have remodeled our house and moved the stools onto several surfaces. Linoleum is terrible with this stool. We had red marks everywhere. Slate seemed fine (though it is dark so difficult to tell if paint rubbed off on stone) and our cream marble tile seems to be holding up well (but maybe all the paint is rubbed off the bottom by now). Point is, you should be careful with moving or get sliders to protect your floor.

All in all, I wish we had bought taller step stools for our bathroom.

It's small but does the trick. We use it for my 20mo so he can get up on the couch and back down again. He loves to put his hot wheels cars in the box. It's so cute too. Looks great with that matching table

My son has this entire set for his toddler room. He loves firetrucks and climbing so this was the perfect addition for him. He love to store things in the compartment. It is just the right addition to his bright and colorful room.

Our little fireman in training is 2 and he loves fire trucks! We bought the bed and night stand and stool. He keeps some books inside his stool and night stand and likes to sit on his stool while looking at them. At first I was worried about his fingers getting pinched but the stool is designed to not slam shut. He sits his drink on his night stand and it got water on the surface. The water wiped off without leaving a mark. Great quality, durable, and fun for my little guy. I highly recommend it!

I dunno, you might like it if you're into the whole consumerism thing. I HIGHLY recommend you take your $30 or $40 to your LOCAL thrift store and score a beautiful wooden step stool. This thing is lame but too expensive to exchange
