When I purchased this kitchen in early November there were no reviews, I decided to take my chances and purchase it anyway. My husband & I assembled the kitchen a week before christmas (assuming it would take that long) and it literally took from start to finish 2 hours. I never expected it to be so sturdy, all the doors have a tight closure so my 2 year old can't SLAM any of them. There were no damaged pieces and all pre-drilled holes were positioned in the proper location. The main reason I chose this kitchen was because it had counter space, with all the accessories available (mixer, blender, toaster) there was no room other than stove top on all the other kitchens. My daughter is 2 and she has a baby sister and I can honestly say this kitchen will bring many years of happy play. I give this kitchen 5 stars +, she'll love it and I can't wait to see her little eyes light up christmas morning!

Just one word for this kitchen.. CUTE! I wanted a KidKraft kitchen b/c of the brand name and the fact it is wood. I love the white and pink.. talk about girly.. this is definitely a girly kitchen just perfect for my 3 year old!

We bought it.. and set it up for Christmas morning. Be prepared for a very long assembly! Took my husband 2.5 hours to assemble it (although its possible it could be done in a little over 2 hours if you have some help.. I didnt help my husband much with the assembly b/c I was setting up other things!) - So just be prepared for that.. give yourself some time!

The doors are neat - they do not slam shut.. they have latches that take a little bit of pressure to open / close. I like this fact. The freezer / refrigerator has a lot of room too.. perfect for food! There is one shelf that fits in the refrigerator to. And, the oven is pretty roomy. We have the Melissa & Doug cookie set, and that whole cookie pan with all 12 cookies fits in this oven just fine! So, was very happy when I saw how big the oven was! The washer is a decent size too - bigger than some other kitchens I have seen - my daughter had one of her outfits, 2 hand towels, and some play oven mits in there.. and it still had some room!

Excellent kitchen - Highly recommend this kitchen!

Perhaps most of the positive reviews were given immediately after the purchase but here's mine after having it for a year. When we purchased it, we liked it very much. It was cute, and was a fairly sturdy piece. My children have played with it a lot. However, after only a year, it has turned into an ugly piece of junk. I'm very surprised how quickly this item went downhill as the children played with it (and they aren't rough). I started to notice the wear very quickly, within just a couple of months of the purchase. I also purchased some of the wood play pieces from Kidcraft (cups, plates, etc...) and it's the same story. I am extremely disappointed in their wood products. I've always purchased Little Tykes or Step 2 in the past which are the sturdy plastic products that last for years and years, but this item was so cute I chose it instead. Big mistake. Never again will I purchase Kidcraft items. Huge disappointment and a waste of money. We've only had it a year and I'd have a hard time giving this kitchen away now.

My husband and I bought this kitchen for our three year old's birthday. We did not take the other reviewers' warnings seriously and we did not budget enough time to put it together. The night before our child's third birthday, we stayed up until dawn to put it together. She absolutely loved it and still does. We also love it. It's beautiful and it is solid. It has no splinters and it is well made. the paint is good quality and uniformly applied. The biggest flaw we found, and the reason why we won't give it 5 stars is because the labels on each piece are flimsy and fall off. You may have to line up all pieces and find out which piece goes where by a process of elimination, which is frustrating. Also, we did not have enough screws and bolts to complete the project. Because of that, the top of the refrigerator was never installed and the curtain rod was not installed either. We use the curtains as table cloths and napkin. The maker does list a number that one can call to obtain the spare parts, but we never did get around to it.

Bought this for my 2 1/5 year old for Christmas...it is an awesome kitchen!!! She absolutely loves it. It is the perfect size for her with room to grow but at the same time doesn't take up too much space. The only negetive is that we had a piece that the holes were drilled wrong on so we had to put it in backwards, which meant that we had to paint the visible part white! I am sure we could have gotten it replaced but we didn't have the time, we were building it to put under the tree. It took approximately 4 hours to assemble. Overall though an awesome kitchen for the price, it is one that my daughter will be able to play with for years and then hand down in years to come!!!

I was super excited about this kitchen. I actually purchased the red version of this exact kitchen for my three year old son who loves to pretend to cook. We previously had a very inexpensive old Little Tikes kitchen (nice, but small). As my husband puts it together tonight, Christmas Eve night, I am so disappointed and very sad. The kitchen is actually not as big as it looks. I thought it was larger than it is was based on the photos. The tray of Melissa and Doug cookies won't even fit in the oven, it's so small. The refrigerator I dreamed of using for storage for all his play food it teeny tiny and will not even fit 1/3 of it. The washer might fit one thing, or a few very, very small things. The microwave is tiny as well. The Little Tikes plastic kitchen we had previously has a bigger oven and microwave than this. I thought this would be an upgrade to what we had, giving him more space and more things, I was wrong. And I paid extra for it in red (because it's an exclusive to one company).

It's not a bad kitchen, it's just not a big kitchen. I am very disappointed.
