setting of lid closer is critical to eliminating smashed fingers, especially when 34 month old doesn't want 16 month old in it...I also added some felt pads on the front lip so the lid would not bang nor can it be closed completely on fingers!

My son received this toy box for his 1st birthday. I was worried about smashed fingers but that is not a concern at all with this toy box. I am very impressed with the safety of it. And it is very sturdy and durable, which is nice because my son crawls all over it and in it. Also very easy to put together.

This professional toy box is very stylish and goes well with my John Deer collection. It sure draws every body's attention and is made out of wood construction that is of very high quality. The lid stays in any position so kids never slam their fingers. I love John Deer products.

A great toy box that is great for children. The lid stays open until you close it which is very safe. Stores quite bit and also looks cool with all of my son's other John Deere Decor.
