I purchased this fire extinguisher to add a second unit to my boat. It arrived very quickly, was well packaged, and despite what some other reviewers said about it showing up uncharged, that was not the case with me. The charge indicator was nice, clear, and well charged. Maybe they just had a bad unit, but being that fire extinguishers are difficult AND expensive to ship, you should purchase this unit with confidence. In the event you do get a bad unit, the seller will replace it for you. Kidde products are all I use at home and on my boat, and I also purchased one for my car trunk, in the event I pass by a vehicle fire or similar event.

Top marks here! In a partner review to the purchase of my new grill, this fire extinguisher helped us extinguish a fire that was BLAZING on the old grill. We had about $60 worth of meat on the grill and there was a sudden flare up that was getting more and more out of control. FIre started to shoot out of the bottom of the grill and luckily I stashed various fire extinguishers around the house. This was the one we had in the kitchen and it was probably 2-3 years old. Well it worked like it was brand new.

I've been lucky and never had to use a fire extinguisher before, but it's pretty easy. And you learn fast when you're in this situation. There was plenty of chemical to put out the fire completely. Unfortunately we ruined our dinner that night, but it's probably cheaper than buying a new deck.

I ordered another the next day.

No issues here. My current one is 7 years old and still holds a charge.

This was the exact same extinguisher we had before so we didn't have to take time to attach a new holder on the boat. It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Haven't had to use it, hope I never do!

I'm gathering everything i need to purchase a new boat. I hope i will never have to use this. But the size looks great and to not take up too much space.

I purchased this for the house. I love the idea of the pressure gauge. Some home type fire extinguishers do not come with a gauge so you never know if it is still charged or not. I mounted it in the kitchen. It is the central part of the house and the most likely of a fire starting from the kitchen. Not that I would want one to start, but if it does I will be ready. I think I will purchase one for my boat.

Came quickly, the size and quality I was expecting except for the pull pin which seemed a bit cheap. I bought to use as a second fire extinguisher in my travel trailer and mounted it using 2 strips of double stick tape. Should work fine for our purposes. It can be mounted using screws but I preferred the tape at present to make sure I liked the location.

I liek the quality and since I have to write 20 words, will say my boat , knock on wood, has never caught on fire so I don't know how well it works. I was stopped for a coast guard inspection and the guys looked at it and gave it back to me with no tickets.

I have a 13'4" cabin cruiser (Voyager 14) and the coast guard thinks because it has an enclosed area I am going to burst into flames. This little guy is small enough to stash anywhere and will keep your nose clean if the costies go poking around.
