October 2002: My 2 1/2 year old son received this bike last year for Christmas. It has definately been the best purchase that we have ever made. This bike zooms around the neighberhood/yard daily. It is a neighborhood favorite. Everyone wants to ride it. The seat adjusts to 3 positions, a must for a growing child. The wheels are big with wonderful rubber tread. This bike does not tip over (unless your child really works hard at it). It takes lots of sharp turns. It workes wonders in "4-wheel drive" as it zooms over dirt surfaces. The only thing that we did not like about this bike was that it did not have a bell. We solved this problem by finding a very nice bell by Fisher-Price that clamps on the handle bars. It even matches the same color scheme. If you are concidering purchasing a small training wheel bike over this trike, DO NOT. My boy was given a training wheel bike 6 months later from grandparents, and he seldom rides it. This trike is his favorite, and he is now 3 1/2. Save the big bikes for later! Bottom line: It is fun, fast, tuff, and doesn't tip. Just what a young child (and parent) loves. Update 2006: This bike still looks like it did when we purchased it in 2001. Nothing has broken, the paint has not faded - even after being left out in the sun/rain continuously, no rust, nothing! It is now being used by my 3rd child and runs as great as ever (my 2 1/2 year old that is now age 7 even hops on it once in a while). WE LOVE IT!

Our son learned to ride and pedal on this at about 30 months. He adores it! The thick and wide-placed wheels on the back make it possible for him to ride over grass, the woodchips at the park, anywhere he wants (which can be a bad thing with a two year old, in all honesty, LOL). The earlier models of this trike are owned by various friends, and all of them (the trikes, not the friends) suffered from the same problem - the connection between the frame and the handlebars became loose, so the handlebars would twist wildly while whenever a child tried to steer. NOT SO with this one! The handlebars and frame are designed differently, so that hasn't happened in the year that we've had ours.I have actually ridden this bike a few times myself (to show our son how to pedal), and it really is very comfortable. It sure beats the skidding of plastic wheels or the cut-up achilles tendon effect of the metal trike I had when I was little!

This trike was purchased for my son on his 2nd christmas (which was just a week after his birthday. He had trouble at first because of this being his first bike/trike, but after a few days they were unseparable. The adjustable seat and wide tires makes it both easy to ride and safe. I also loved the durable design....which makes this trike a gift that will give him years of enjoyment. I highly suggest this for any toddler, and give a word of advice to (...) customers," You get what you pay for, don't be fooled by the cheap trikes, get a gift for your son/daughter/nephew, etc. that will be as strong as it is fun for them.
