5.0 out of 5 stars A great toy for kids with energy!
My son got this rocking horse for his first birthday, and he still rides it till this day. (He's 2 now) It is great because he will ride this toy all day, it worked him out so much he fell alseep riding it. He is older now so he like to push the horse around on it's wheels. He also likes the tunes the horse plays. But watch out the tune is catchy, and you won't be able to...

2.0 out of 5 stars It's...too...small
In three easy little words the best way to describe this toy is, it's too small. I bought this for my one year old and he is already too big for it, as well as we have another rocking horse for my 2 1/2 year old son and it drawfs this one. We are disappointed, it is simply too small.

I bought this for my nephew's first birthday. All I can say is, What a hit! He could hardly wait for his dad to take it out of the box and put it together. The next morning my sister emailed me a picture of him riding it with the biggest adorable smile I've ever seen. That was worth it in itself. He is almost two now and still loves to ride it. The sounds make it seem like a real pony that sings. Too cute. I'm planning on buying the girl's version for my boyfriends niece for Christmas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Poney and Friend, July 8, 2004

I bought this for my son's first birthday. He Just loves his poney. He hugged it the minute I took it out of the box. He touches its mouth when it talks and he loves to climb on it and rock. He learned how to make it sing immediately and now he always gets on the poney and presses the ear to make it sing and he rocks happily. Sometimes if I start singing the poney song, he'll walk over to it and hop on and start rocking. It is a big, big hit! It took me a while to get the horse, since it kept selling out, but it was worth the wait.

MY ROCKING HORSE IS A WONDERFUL TOY. IT CAN BE USED AS A ROCKING HORSE OR A RIDING HORSE. MY DAUGHTER HAS A LOT OF FUN PUSHING THE EARS AND MAKING IT TALK, OR SING. SHE HAS ALSO HAD PROFESSIONAL PICTURES TAKEN ON IT AND THEY ARE SOO CUTE.

1.0 out of 5 stars Adorable but dangerous, December 14, 2004

My 18 month old daughter loved this rocking horse. Then, during one of her rides, the horse flipped over frontwards and my toddler landed on her head and neck. In my opinion, the rockers on the horse are not designed properly if an 18 month old rider can cause the horse to flip over. The horse was assembled properly and my daughter was being supervised at the time of her "riding accident." This was one of our favorite toys, but after seeing how she fell, I feel that she could have really been hurt. So, unfortunately, we are going to have to put this horse down--as a riding toy, the wheels don't cut it. When I put the wheels down, my daughter just gets frustrated that she can't get the horse to rock anymore.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great 1st Birthday Gift, April 29, 2004

My son received this as a gift from my parents for his first birthday. It easily converts from the rocking horse to the ride-on horse. He wasn't able to reach the floor but still loved to be pushed in our living room and up and down the hallway. This ride is the perfect size for a little one, not overwhelmingly large. It rolls easily front and backwards, so that when he was able to touch the ground he could push himself. The only thing that has aggravated me is the motor in the mouth of the horse makes a grinding noise. My son loves the son the songs and he is able to push and play the music independently.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent riding toy, November 24, 2003

Our daughter received this as a Christmas gift last year (at the time she was 7 months old and needed help sitting on it by herself). She loves the cute song and snort/whinies that come from it when she squeezes the ears. Now that she is 18 months, she enjoys it more...even though her feet still cannot reach the ground. Definitely a great toy for pictures.
Also like the fact that the wheels fold upwards to change the pony into a rocker. Soft and cuddly...a great addition to anyone's toy collection.

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun toy, but not designed well, October 1, 2005

I bought this horse for my twins' first birthday, and it was an immediate success! They quickly learned how to make it rock and talk. I never had a problem with either of them tipping over on the horse, and my daughter would rock it very violently. Unfortunately, they wore out the musical part of the horse in about 6 months. Now it's a lot less enticing for them to play with. Also, the embroidered emblems on the horse's ears started to come loose soon after purchasing it, and those long threads are choking hazards, in my opinion! You'll have to keep your scissors handy or just pull the entire bit of embroidery out (which is what I ended up doing).

Another problem with this toy is that, when the wheels are down for riding, it's very difficult for my 2-year-olds, who are of average size, to get their feet onto the ground because of the footrest that is used when the horse is in the rocking configuration. They always want to roll around on the horse, but they are quickly frustrated when it is so difficult for them to move.
