Misleading sizing otherwise great!,
This review is from: Kiddopotamus Dreamsie Sleeper with Sleeves Microfleece Large, Blue (Baby Product)
I love this style of sleeper but my son had already grown out of the Carters 'One Size' (0-9 month old) at 4 months old. The sizing on these say Large, 6 to 15 months, 16 to 24 pounds, 7.26 to 10.89kg, 26" to 31" length. My son is big for his age (95th percentile), at 16lbs 15oz and 26 3/4" long, which is well within the sizing parameters - but this thing is HUGE. I was worried about it coming up over his nose/mouth because the neck opening is much bigger than his head, and there is a tag inside that says using one that's too big may cause SIDS.
UPDATE 2 months later: My son is 6 months old now, almost 30" long and 20 pounds. We can use the sleeper now, though it is still really big on him. It is very warm and will definitely fit him for several more months.

I am a huge fan of sleep-sacks. I've been putting my 8-month old daughter in these since she outgrew swaddling at about 5 weeks of age. I started with the Halo Sleep Sacks but I have accumulated quite a few sleep sacks of different brands at this point. Unfortunately, most of the ones you can buy in stores are for small babies, and my daughter has outgrown these now that she is 20 lbs. What I love about this particular sleep sack from Kiddopotamus is that it is large so my daughter can use it for a while, and even better is that it has long sleeves. All the other sleep sacks I find in store are sleeveless, which are fine for the summer. But now that winter is here, and my daughter's room doesn't get too warm at night, I love giving her the extra layer on her arms. Now if I could only find a sleep sack that had little mittens attached to cover her hands.....
All-in-All, this item is a must-have.

High quality and roomy,

We LOVE this thing. My 5 month old wears at night and for naps. Plenty of leg room for him to kick around. HIgh quality fleece doesn't pill in the washing machine. Padded zipper cover so the zipper never pokes him.

I would rate this product with five stars except for the sizing.
We bought the large. My son is nine months old, twenty pounds, and 27 inches. So the large should fit - and it will, many months from now. For now the sack is a SIDS risk as it easily slips over his head. My kid has a big head, right? This shouldn't happen. So we bought the small. Tiny! If I had known better, I would have timed my son's conception so that it would be summer now, when he fits into neither. We'll save the small for the next kid. We'll hope the large fits before the end of cold weather. But I'm seriously steamed that there's no medium to allow for another gradation in size. I really like kiddopotamus's products - looooved the snuzzler for the infant car seat. But this one I have to rate so low simply because there's going to be a lot of babies who will have to use something else in between the small and the large.

great for winter,

My little guy is 6 mo old and we love the sleep sacks to keep him warm. We had several Carter's 0-9 months but he has outgrown them. (We don't use blankets because he kicks his legs up while in bed.) Now that it is getting to be winter, we put him in footed PJs and then zip this sleep sack over the top. He is currently 16 1/2 pounds and 69 cm; there is plenty of room in the leg and body area for growth. My only complaint is that the arms seem a little short. Right now, they are long enough, but they seem short in proportion to the overall length of the item. The fleece is soft and seems to wash well; I let it air dry.

good, but beware if it is too big for you baby,

I like it, but just be careful if your baby is too small for the blanket. My baby is a very large six months (22 lbs, 29.5 inches, wears 12 month clothes) but the large size is a bit too large for him. One night, he rolled over and one of the sleeves slipped off and got stuck underneath him and he got upset and started crying and woke us up. Because of all the SIDS scare talk, I worry that it could be dangerous for him to get stuck like that for long.

Other reviewers have complained of the size.. that's why I love this item. It's one of the few long sleeve sleepers that is soft, durable and FITS well once the 0-9 month generic sleepers are too small. The neck is a bit large, but our son has never had issues with it covering his face no matter how much he moves or what odd position he sleeps in at night.

Great invention!,
This review is from: Kiddopotamus Dreamsie Sleeper with Sleeves Microfleece Large, Pink (Baby Product)
This is a wonderful product. I have used others that are sleeveless, which are great for summer, but the ones with sleeves are just perfect for moms who are conscious of heeding the warnings of loose blankets. It keeps the baby snuggly warm, and the material is super soft to the touch. I did buy a little big and rolled up the sleeves a bit. The zipper has a great little flap-over cover at the neck. A staple for any nursery. Love it.

We finally stopped swaddling and transitioned our baby to a regular sleep sack. He kept waking up with very cold hands. I ordered this because it was the only sleepsack I could find with long sleeves, and we've had two glorious nights where he's slept through the night without a peep. Now, I can't say that the sleepsack with arms will work for every baby, but it's very cuddly and warm, and that seems to work for him. The zipper starts at the bottom of the sack and zips up from there, but there is a little flap to keep zipper hidden at the top. It seems well constructed, hopefully it will stand up to washing while staying just as soft. I just wish it came it a bigger size, or in vibrant colors. For the price though, it certainly seems to be more than worth it. Our sleeveless sleepsack has now been retired!
