3.0 out of 5 stars Kiddopotamus & Co PoshPouch Carrier Cover
A well made product, very plush & comfy, however it was too bulky for my carseat. I bought a different one that has a clear plastic face cover which eliminates the need for a blanket when it's raining.

They went to a Christmas parade and when they got home she noticed the baby's backside was cold. 5.0 out of 5 stars Great for those cold days!, December 8, 2007

This carrier cover is perfect for colder climates! Has been keeping my baby nice and toasty warm. Fits easily over our carrier, a safer allternative to a Bundle Me type cover. One negative is that the carrier canopy must be removed leaving no way to shield baby's eyes on a sunny cold day. Otherwise, truly the ticket for keeping baby warm. Nice unisex color...and I have received many compliments! Would highly recommend!

2.0 out of 5 stars PoshPouch vs BundleMe - BundleMe the Victor, April 17, 2009
By

I received both the PoshPouch and BundleMe for my baby shower. For what it's supposed to be, I much prefer the BM over the PP and here are a few of the reasons:

Cons:

-The "collar" of the PP constantly falls inside the carrier. This is a design flaw. While it doesn't affect the performance of the PP, it's an annoyance. The collar, from the day I started using the PP, falls constantly. While it looks like, in the pictures, the collar will resemble a shirt collar, after use, it looks like an extraneous fabric flap with no real purpose...and that's what it is. It doesn't even look good. This isn't a problem on the BM.

-When closed, my baby can only see up into the sky. She couldn't look to the left or right, nor straight ahead unless we unzipped the PP. With the BM, the baby can see in all directions.

-The PP is simply a cover that fits around a car seat, whereas the BM is an actual pouch that you zip around the baby. So, in the winter the BM is much warmer than the PP. This could be a negative too.

-The PP doesn't close all of the way. So in a downpour, your baby's face (and body) will be wet when closed completely. The BM has enough fabric that in a downpour, you can shield your baby by covering them.

-The PP, because it's a 'cover' is only suitable for a car seat. Think of the PP as a shower cap, split in the middle with a zipper and a collar. Therefore, it can not fit most strollers. I have a Chicco Cortina Keyfit travel system. I can not use the PP on the stroller. However, I can use the BM on both the car seat and the stroller.

Pros:

-The PP is, in my opinion, meant for spring/fall (and probably only fall since it rains in the spring often) and the BM meant for only the winter. This is an advantage for most of the year over the BM and therefore a better value. However, with the BM I didn't have to layer my child excessively during the winter because it's very warm.

-The PP is more "airy" - meaning air can circulate in the car seat much better than the BM.

The PP is a good concept, but the aesthetically-pleasing-yet-non-functional "collar" really irked me. I found myself pulling it off of my daughters face too often. The BM has limited use (for the winter only), but it's all functional.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must-have for cold weather, November 28, 2008
Keeps my baby very warm--no extra layers of clothing needed. My baby can actually get sweaty in it so I make sure to unzip him when we get indoors. Fits on my Chicco KeyFit 30 fine. The sunshade attachment doesn't really fit over the cover very well, but still workable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it!, January 8, 2008

This is an awesome product! I had the other type of carrier cover and took it back to get this type. I prefer this one because it goes over the top not between the seat. Also, it covers the head leaving the opening for the face...No more bundling them up, just buckle up, zip up and go!

3.0 out of 5 stars better in theory than practice, December 1, 2006
This review is from: Kiddopotamus PoshPouch Premium Baby Carrier Cover Faux Seude & Fur, Pink (Baby Product)
I gratefully received one of these because we live in a very cold climate, but I admit being frustrated upon trying to get it to work right on our infant carseat. Perhaps it was only our brand of carseat--Graco--but I couldn't get the cover to seal the baby in completely... the cover kept gaping at the sides where the seat dips down, letting the cold air in. I struggled with this for awhile, but it was clear that it just wasn't big enough--or needed some kind of anchoring along the sides--to seal around the rim of the entire carseat.

Also, the opening for the baby's face did not exactly line up with the baby's face, and the collar was hard to work back, so I worried that his view was continuously being blocked out. I was concerned that the cold might be coming into his neck area too. Lastly, because the hole didn't line up, it was difficult to maneuver him out correctly... I usually had to take off the cover, or somehow bend his head down out of the cover a bit.

Anyway, I can't give it a lower rating because the problems could have been due to me or the carseat, but I would try something that actually lays in the seat and zips around the baby, like JJ Cole or the like.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple, cozy, convenient, January 13, 2009

I purchased the Posh Pouch in November to use with my (circa 2004) Graco SnugRide. My first child was born in June and outgrew the infant seat by 6 months so i didn't have to deal much with cold weather gear on the baby until after she was into a convertible stays-in-the-car carseat. However, my youngest was born in early November so i invested in this. It's everything i hoped it would be, basically. It is very easy to attach to my SnugRide, stretching over it like a shower cap. The SnugRide's built in sunshade isn't really removable and i did have to work to get the Posh Pouch in place with the sunshade over top but once it was in place, I haven't had a problem and I can still use the sunshade. (Mostly it's functioning as a windshield these days.) It's easy to zip open and closed and doesn't interfere with getting the baby in and out. It keeps her VERY warm, to the point that I can dress her in a simple sleep 'n' play, zip her up and she's perfect. I usually add a hat but that's all she needs to stay warm and comfy. I live in Northern VA so the winters aren't terribly severe (and this year seems especially mild in general) so your mileage may vary and your baby may need a bit more layering. My only very mild complaint is that it's difficult to pull the edge away to one side if you want to -- the opening for the baby's face is centered and you can't really move it to the left or right. My daughter is especially fond of looking to the left and will nearly always turn her head that way when she falls asleep, so her face is generally slightly covered by the edge of the pouch on that side. I've tried unzipping it a bit and pulling one side away once i get her in the car, but the cover tends to fall back into its place. However, it doesn't seem to bother her, so I think I'm just being a fussbudget. If we're going to be in the car for any length of time i just unzip the cover further and find a way to wedge the side open.
Also the pocket is cute but pretty much pointless for me. It's pretty small and i haven't found any good use for it. It would be the right size for carrying a pacifier in, however it, too, is faux fur lined so the pacifier gets covered with faux fur strands. Bleah! Oh well.

Overall i'm very happy with this and would definitely recommend it for infants born during the colder months. No messing around with tiny coats or snowsuits, and no concerns about compromising the safety of the car seat with bulky clothing. Excellent.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great for keeping baby warm!, March 25, 2008

This is a great product. I get a lot of compliments on it as well. Baby stays so warm that I can't even keep a blanket on him. I gave it 4 stars because snow falls on the baby's face because the hole does not cover up. But, I would purchase it again as is. The pocket is handy also.
