This is moderately better than the garbage toybox I bought at a store whose logo is a bullseye. This toybox is attractive, but very, very shallow. It holds almost nothing. The primary reason for this is that it values form over function. The feet add to the height, but detract from the function. It remains low enough for a toddler to easily access; but because it's raised, that directly "steals" the storage volume.

I'm too lazy to disassemble, repackage, and return it. If you are looking for an attractive piece of furniture to match other pieces, buy it. If you're looking for a better toybox without needing to do the woodwork & finishing yourself, skip this.

The toybox itself didn't disappoint in appearance. It is a high quality wood and is beautiful. There are slight imperfections that I didn't expect, but reading the manual said that it comes with using real wood so we were all right with that.

It was much smaller than I thought it would be. That would be mostly my fault since I didn't take the time to check out the dimensions before buying. There really isn't room for that much storage as the bottom is a little taller than I would prefer, but it will keep a lot of my daughter's small toys that used to liter the floor in one place.

We decided to keep it because her room is small and it looks so good in there, but ideally I would have liked it to be about 25% larger...especially for $90. I think it is overpriced for the size.

We purchased this as a match to the Nantucket Toddler Bed. We were very pleased with both items. Very reasonable price, easy to assemble, arrived in perfect condition. My 14 year old son assembled the toybox in about 30 minutes, just needed a little help holding pieces while he screwed them together. I would say it was probably a little more involved to assemble than the bed, but not too difficult. It's not very big, but makes an adorable footboard toybox to this bedset. Handy bench seating and safety closure are good features.
