We have a mix of surfaces in our living room. Stone table with wooden legs. Glass entertainment center. Ceramic tile surround/hearth on our fireplace. So, off to the store to get babyproofing as our 6 month old started pulling herself up precariously using the table, couch, etc. as a hand-hold. The trouble is, most of the stores only carry a beige or offwhite color, and our decor is more black. Fortunately, we found these cushions on amazon in black. They are great quality, very cushiony and of sufficient length to be able to cut to any application. The included double-sided tape is not useful. Doesn't hold very well, etc. So, we found reviews of this "peal and seal" weatherize caulk. Which is designed to be temporary for sealing windows. It's sticky enough to hold the cushion in place, and can be peeled off the surfaces easily enough without leaving a mark.

These bumpers are a great find, and the best price is, of course, on Amazon.

I'm not sure what's happening for some of the other reviewers, or if the product has changed recently, but the tape that this comes with is very strong. I can literally pull my coffee table across the carpet by the bumper. Actually, I really wouldn't be surprised at all if taking this bumper off in a couple years takes some of my coffee table with it. As with any tape, however, you have to make sure both surfaces are very clean. I wiped both with rubbing alcohol before applying and it worked great.

These edge cushions are nice and soft and do protect baby's head against sharp edges; however, the tape is not sticky enough. One of four areas where I applied the cushions have come "unstuck" repeatedly. I just stick it back on and it seems to stick for another few days. BUT, my baby is not picking at them yet, and when he does, I'm sure he will be able to pull them right off with no problem.

The pads do their job. The problem is that the glue on the tape did not come off with the tape upon removable (I only had the pads on during a 5 day stay of my grandchildren). The sticky glue was very difficult to remove from both a metal table and a wood table.

We have a raised hearth in our family room that's about 12" high. It has a slate top with a perfectly square edge. It's very hard and very sharp. My young grandkids like to run back and forth in that room and I was afraid one of them would fall face first onto that hard sharp edge. I installed the Kidkusion Toddler Edge Kushion about 2 months ago.

Well today it happened. My 13 month old granddaughter who is just starting to walk fell face first onto the edge. It hit her right in the mouth, so hard that her head bounced back. She cried for about ten minutes but after mommy gave her a Popsicle she was fine and had no serious injury. Man, am I glad that edge protector was there. I shudder to think what would have happened without it. I'm guessing there would have been a couple of broken teeth at least, and maybe much worse.

It was pretty easy to install if you follow the directions exactly. And the black color matches the black slate. You hardly even notice it.

The instructions say "not for hearths", but I think that's because of flammability concerns. We never use the fireplace so I wasn't worried about that.

My only suggestion would be to make it thicker, but I gave it a 5 star because I think it saved my granddaughter from serious injury. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with small children.

This product does what it is supposed to. We put it around the fireplace edge and the edge of two shelves. It doesn't stick as well as I would have liked it to, hence 4 rather than 5 stars, but overall it is good.

I needed to cover a 6ft long edge on our bed. I taped the double side tape on both sides of the edge than applied the cushion. All good, until using the rest of the cushion.Discovered to my surprise that tape was all gone. So edge cushion is 12ft long, and that is the lenght of the double side tape. What about the other side of the edge cushion?? Its like buying a piece of furniture and they give you only half of the screws you need to put it together.
For the price you pay for this cushion, they should provide enough tape plus few inches more in case you mess up.

Our office had just been remodeled and the sharp corners of our counters were cutting into the fabric of our receptionist's chair. We found the kidkusion online - it came in brown which matched our color scheme and decided to give it a try. It worked great! Blended in perfectly with the color of our counter and has stopped the wear and tear on our chairs. I highly recommend this product.

This product is useless. Babies are very curious. My table was safer without her seeing these things on it. Go to Babies R Us and get the Especially for Baby Corner Cushions. They're clear and do not draw her attention. While you're there get the crib rail version of this. If your little one begins to think her rail is a teether, get this. It's safe and bpa free. Both stick very well. Babies R Us used to be an Amazon partner, but since they're not, the link to the products can't be in this review.

I purchased this product to cover the edge of a step down to our living room. I looked around in local stores but could find anything long enough. (I didn't want to have to piece together many small strips.)This turned out to be the perfect solution! The color is more of a tan than off white, but for our purposes it blends perfectly with our tile. I do wish the adhesive was a little stronger, since my 9-mo-old can pull the cushioning off herself if she gets hold of the end of it. Overall I think this is a great product and recommend it to others.
