This story was beyond corny. By Chapter Six I had to MAKE myself keep reading because nothing was happening. Callie Mae is a rich, spoiled young woman; TJ Grier is an honorable cowboy who once worked on her family's ranch. An accidental shooting and death which is drug out throughout the whole darn book occurs in the first pages, and TJ's life is over as he is accused...

5.0 out of 5 stars Kidnapped by the Cowboy, July 3, 2008
Callie Mae Lockett and TJ Grier were once friends. TJ was a cowboy working on Callie Mae's family's ranch, the C Bar C, but all that changed when TJ was sent to prison for shooting Callie Mae's little brother Danny. One year later, TJ is determined to prove not only his innocence but the part Callie Mae's fiancé Kullen Brosius played in Danny's death.

When Callie Mae and Kullen arrive at TJ's, Kullen scares off TJ's prized thoroughbred Blue Whistler. TJ takes Callie Mae with him when he heads out to find Blue, hoping to find the proof he needs to prove his innocence. Callie Mae wants to believe TJ but all the evidence points to his guilt. Will the long harbored feelings she's kept for him keep her from seeing his guilt, or is TJ really innocent? If he is innocent, Callie Mae is about to marry a murder.

Kidnapped by the Cowboy is a story with a nice combination of romance, suspense, and action. The feelings TJ harbored for Callie Mae for so long are heartfelt and easy to see. Callie Mae's feelings for TJ run understandably from hate to love, and everything in between. Against all odds, TJ finds the truth, gets the girl and gets his much deserved happily ever after in Kidnapped by the Cowboy. I was rooting for him from start to finish.

This story was beyond corny. By Chapter Six I had to MAKE myself keep reading because nothing was happening. Callie Mae is a rich, spoiled young woman; TJ Grier is an honorable cowboy who once worked on her family's ranch. An accidental shooting and death which is drug out throughout the whole darn book occurs in the first pages, and TJ's life is over as he is accused of being the killer. He is desperate to prove his innocence and find the truth. In the meantime, he "kidnaps" Callie Mae to help him a) find his prized horse who Callie Mae's evil fiance has spooked and run off, and b) to help him find the answers to the truth of the shooting.

Three quarters of the story is them kissing and her telling him 'no, I have to stay true to Kullen', whom she doesn't even really love and who really doesn't love her but only her money. You know right from the get-go that Kullen is the bad guy in everything, and yet the writer won't reveal names and details, though you'd have to be retarded not to have figured it all out right from the beginning.

All in all, a really lame story. Absolutely NO heat or chemistry between the two characters, and in the end who cares? Not worth a read.
