From the Back Cover

Kidney Transplantation: A Guide to the Care of Kidney Transplant Recipients is an easy to read, up to date, clinical resource written by  experts in the field of kidney transplantation. The book explains how donors and recipients are selected for transplantation, how the surgical procedure is performed, and how the experts recognize and treat rejection. This guide to the care of the kidney transplant recipient aims to provide practical guidelines for management of the post-transplant recipient and is targeted to community nephrologists and general internists who care for the patient with a kidney transplant.

I bought this book hoping to understand in full details the update on kidney transplantation.
I was in practice for 5 years. This book did not add much information to my knowledge except for some discrete points which really did not worth the money i paid.

I was not as helpful as i expected.

I purchased this book for use in my clinical practice. I enjoyed reading the book. The format was easy to read and made the material accessible. I also have several trainees (from a variety of different disciplines) who work with me and I have received positive feedback from them about the book as well. My only complaint is that this book is for kidney transplant and there do not appear to be similarly formatted books for transplants in other organ systems. If the authors/publishers are seeing this, please consider writing a similar book for liver and bone marrow transplant as well.
