5.0 out of 5 stars Completed his Bob the Builder look!! :)
My grandson is a Bob the Builder kid!! He LOVES to fix things, mostly by banging on them. I gave him his toolbelt for his 2nd birthday, It went on him right away and with his hardhat on, he did look like Bob!! With his tools, he is no longer banging on things to fix, he is patiently using the plyers to try to twist bolts, he used the screw driver in an appropriate way...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not realistic
My 2 year old loves to pretend that he is fixing things, so I thought that this would be ideal. While the toy has absolutely nothing wrong with it, he won't have anything to do with any of it because it doesn't look like the 'real' tools that the grown-ups use. If realism is an issue with your child, I would suggest you look elsewhere.

With his tools, he is no longer banging on things to fix, he is patiently using the plyers to try to twist bolts, he used the screw driver in an appropriate way and of course, the hammer does come into play. This is a very nice toy and I am happy I purchased it for the little handyman!!

4.0 out of 5 stars He's enjoying his tool belt, August 16, 2005
This review is from: Kidoozie Little Builder Tool Belt (Toy)
My 2-1/2 year old grandson is really enjoying his Little Builder Tool Belt. Actually, he won't wear the belt, but loves "fixing" everything. My only concern was that the screwdriver has two heads and they are small and rather tempting to his little brother.

1.0 out of 5 stars Huge amounts of LEAD, December 6, 2011

Check out this toy at healthystuff.org (search for Little Builder Tool Belt). The "utility belt" in this set has an enormous amount of lead in it, plus some arsenic for good measure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sister-in-law Approved!, January 7, 2005

Gifts for a first birthday can be tricky. Something thoughtful as well as memorable was what I wanted. Just like 'da da' was what I thought when I saw this Tool Belt. I hear it was a hit with everyone including my sister-in-law and grandma. He had too many stuffed animals and toys already so this was just right.

5.0 out of 5 stars My Little builder loves it!, March 26, 2005
This review is from: Kidoozie Little Builder Tool Belt (Toy)
My 20 month old son loves to hammer everything, including things that he just shouldn't, but it's all in good fun. Up til now he has been using legos and pop-onzs to build a hammer. After finding this set I knew it was a winner! It is chunky for little fingers so he can use the tools easily and he loves the pager. (that was a nice touch) He thinks he is big like his daddy with tools like his. Eric is not to sure about the belt itself, maybe he will get the point when he gets bigger. But overall we are very pleased with this toy. Now all we need is a hard hat and a tool box!!

This gift was received by my son yesterday for his 2nd birthday. He wore the apron with tools during his party and went straight to it this morning. My mother also rediscovered a set of tools from my brother's childhood toolbench. The bonus is that my son tells me "I have 2 hammers. Red one. Blue one." He 'fixes' his train and trucks. He carried the tools around everywhere today. Now he can help daddy and I don't have to worry about him scratching up the paint.

Safety: The tools appear good. The toy is rated for ages 2+, but the apron strings are long. Be aware of the strangulation hazards.

Parent annoyance: The beeper is loud. Maybe hide it or take the batteries out if you are sensitive to annoying noises.

My granddaughter loved this toy. She found creative uses for the tools, loved the beeper and enjoyed having the tool belt tied around her. She is not quite two, but she really liked having her own tools to imitate grandpa and her dad.

I got it for my nephew because he likes to bang things like a hammer. He basically grabs the items and throws them around. They're still alive so the durability is pretty high. The beeper makes a beeping sounds that sort of gets his attention. Overall I think he will enjoy it in a few months when he figures out what they are meant for.

Our two-year-old granddaughter is very serious about repairing various household items with this tool belt.
She and Gramps have a great time inspecting and fixing the chair, the bed, the mirror, etc. Very cute.
