I have both of the Kids Across, Parents Down books. They make super gifts and are wonderful way for parents or grandparents to have fun with kids. You don't even have to tell them it's educational. :-)

The books are also the perfect size for travel. Just throw it in your carry-on and you'll be happy to have it when your plane is delayed and your child starts to get restless. Buy it and enjoy.

This is a great book! I bought a set for the kids in my life, and I am also giving it to other kids (or their parents) as gifts. Doing the crosswords with kids is fun. I think the puzzles are good for kids, and the best part is that they actually want to do them.

I loved giving the KAPD books (this one and On the Go) as gifts. The themes are great, very universal. The artwork is fun and inviting for kids. And parents think it's cool too. I haven't found any other puzzle books like this that make the parents part of the activity.
