5.0 out of 5 stars Truly Impressive Results
When I first received this, I didn't think I could ever make a cake or cupcake that looks as good as the pictures in this book. In fact, I'm still fairly certain I can't - and it doesn't even matter! If you miss the mark a little, the stuff still looks great. I just took a batch of bee and caterpillar cupcakes to school, and everyone raved about how cute they were -...

1.0 out of 5 stars witchery cake book
I am very disappointed with this book. There is a "wicked wizard's hat", a scary spider, "the ghostly galleon", "psycho-deliah" (a very ugly face), "castle of darkness", a ghost cake, a snake, an alien, "little cakes of horror", the number 7 is full of spiders and the six is the devil. Only sick people could think of cakes like this for children.

When I first received this, I didn't think I could ever make a cake or cupcake that looks as good as the pictures in this book. In fact, I'm still fairly certain I can't - and it doesn't even matter! If you miss the mark a little, the stuff still looks great. I just took a batch of bee and caterpillar cupcakes to school, and everyone raved about how cute they were - the kids, the teacher, even the administrators. And my decorating skills are not exactly award-winning!

The decorations do require some time and energy (for example, I spent more than 2 hours decorating 32 cupcakes), but the results are worth it. There's a good variety for boys and girls, and there are some adorable Halloween things, too.

Growing up in Australia birthday cakes were never bought, but were attempted by the parent. Whether they were simple and delicious or something you couldn't even imagine destroying by cutting into. Either way, this book will get your creative juices flowing. You won't be disappointed. Did I say easy? The recipes are detailed, easy to follow and beautiful photographs.
