The photos are quite interesting; however, the original artwork is problematic: the brightly colored, fanciful, cartoonlike characters superimposed onto some of the photos of museum exhibits are distracting and meaningless and make the pages seem unpleasantly crowded. There are 10 Smithsonian museums on the mall. The author only details 3 of them, which left me & the kids disappointed. We were looking for information on the museum of Art & Sculpture.
