Looks Great, but Food doesn't Stay Warm,

I really wanted to like this thermos. I read the reviews and it seemed fairly positive. My daughter had to have this one because she loved the color.
The problem with this thermos is that it does not keep food hot. I volunteer at my daughter's school for lunch almost every day. Every morning at 7:30am I put boiling water in it. My daughter has an early lunch, 11am. And by 11am the food is either cold or barely warm. Today I made Mac & Cheese on the stove. I poured the boiling water out of her thermos and put in mac & cheese noodles that were extremely hot from the stove into the thermos. A little over 3 hours later, I was at her school for lunch. When I opened up her thermos, the noodles were cold. I was very surprised. Needless to say, I will be looking for a new thermos. I recommend that you do not buy this product, unless you do not care if your food stays warm.

I love that this is BPA free and it is light weight and we really like the fun color. However I am disapointed in it overall. I boil water and let the water sit in it for 30 minutes before exchanging it with food. The kids (5 and 6)say that their food is just barely warm, sometimes cold by the time they get to eat it about 4 hours later. I tried it myself and totally agree. The only food that seems to stay warm (not hot) is soup. I may have to purchase something else or it is going to be a long school year of cold lunches.

since my son's school does not provide kids with lunches, this thermos is a life-saver. it is very safe for kids and Food stays warm for hours.
