The front kept popping off of our cart. Finally after a year of replacing it over and over the plastic connecting piece on one side broke off, making the cart useless because it had no front. The separate seat for a baby doll is cute, though.

Our 3 children have had hours of fun with this toy during the 2+ years we've had it in our home. True, the food is long gone (cardboard boxes - toddlers - no surprise there). We've also needed lash the front piece on with some string (again, it's not constructed to be a bumper car but toddlers don't often keep their play inside the box). The simple design means that when they twist it beyond reason, it's flexible enough for me to pop it back into alignment. It's small enough to be comfortable for the 2 year old to push(for hours), and close enough to the real thing to remain interesting for a 5-6 year old. It's gender neutral, forgiving enough to go down a flight of stairs (repeatedly) without breaking, light enough to not squish whatever's at the bottom.... and sometimes they do even use it to play grocery.

I debated on this one. I was not sure it would be sturdy enough for a three year old but it is terrific!! It has a separate place for your little ones' baby to ride in and plenty of room in the basket to carry all kinds of things including the groceries that come with it!! I was very pleased with this cart. It has free-turning wheels that make it easy for a little child to manuver. I am so glad I got this cart!! My grandson loves it!!

My two year old absolutely would not leave the store without this and she still plays with it a year later. However, there are two problems. One, it immediately needed repair to the basic connections and, two, it has a pinching hazard between the basket and the frame. But of course, my daughter never noticed either of those. She simply loves to play with it, constantly, and has to take it on walks around the block.

These shopping carts are wonderful for your little play-pretender. They're much more realistic than the plastic ones, and easy to assemble as well. We got out son one for Christmas, so we can't exactly judge whether it's really durable, but so far it's endured being pushed up and down the house, and accidentally overturned, too. My son, who's 5, loves it -- he plays supermarket and loads up on groceries, then brings them to his "restaurant." It was a great purchase, worth every penny.

I recently purcashed this cart for my daughter for her 5th birthday. While very cute, the cart is way too small for a child over 2 and VERY flimsy. I would not purchase it again. I expect it to break any day. (We've only had it a week.)

We got this cart a year ago and it has held up great with the use of two girls 2 and 3.5 at the time we got it. The food didn't last long, but the cart has been great. We have had no problems with it coming apart. They load it with everything from full soda cans to all sorts of real food from the pantry.

My daughter received this for her Bday, and it gets played with just about everyday. But it tips over easily, and younger children need to be closely supervised with it. It came with a nice assortment of play food and money, but I'm not sure I would have bought this one myself.

My son is two years old and we were told that little boys love to "pretend" grocery shop as much as girls. Although my husband was hesitant to allow the purchase of this grocery cart, I have to admit, my son LOVES IT! On most days it is more of a truck that hauls his trains and stuffed animals, but he does enjoy lining up his pretend groceries, scanning them on his cash register and then walking the cart around the house pretending he is shopping. It is not as durable as the Little Tykes Grocery Cart, but it is much more reasonable in shipping and price - more realistic to the one at the grocery store as well. Just keep in mind, this grocery cart can go very fast so you have to be willing to give up a few scratches on the walls during its normal use.

I bought this for my daughter for her second birthday. She and her 5 year old sister fought over it almost immediately. My daughter gave it a good work out the first day, pushing it all over the house and putting her baby doll in the seat. She even said "one-two-three, whee" just like I do when I put her in the cart at the grocery store. She also admonished her doll to be good and "no fussing" in the cart. So, as far as realism is concerned, this toy is it. Same design and feel of a real shopping cart, only miniature. Durable? Well, that remains to be seem. My two-year old has already figured out how to unsnapped the front section of the basket. The child seat part is just a piece of fabric with a plastic guide, you need a small doll to fit in and not get the legs stuck when pulling out.
Overall, this toy is tops with the imaginary play but a bit flimsy in construction. I call it a good value for the price, I wouldn't have spent any more on it.
Post script: the toy company's customer service rocks! Call them if anything is missing or not working. They are located in Illinois and a real person actually answers the phone.
