i had so many pages marked in our library copy of this book I knew we wanted it on our own shelf. There are a wide variety of crafts in this book that children will be able to use not just admire!

3.0 out of 5 stars A Decent Book
I'm an arts and crafts director at a girl scout camp and a heavy crafter myself, and so over the years I have amassed a pretty big collection of craft books, but I always want more. This book is not as good as a newer book I had gotten from the same series, one on paper crafts which left me expecting lots of innovative projects with color pictures.

3.0 out of 5 stars A Decent Book, January 18, 2009
This review is from: The Kids Can Press Jumbo Book of Crafts (Jumbo Books) (Paperback)

A lot of the projects in here are really basic, obvious crafts (like simply stringing beads on fishing line, or cutting a frame out of cardboard), but there are a few interesting ones-- like making your own knitting nancy. The pictures are black and white drawings, not photographs which makes it hard to follow precisely, and is not enticing to young crafters. Crafts are all very simple though, and the directions are pretty clearly written.

This book is okay, and when you can pick it up used for only a few dollars it might be worth it, but there are definitely better ones on the market.
