About the Author

Award-winning author Toni Albert, M.Ed., is the author of thirty-five books, which are used by teachers and students throughout the nation. Many of her books have been about endangered wildlife and endangered wildlands and reflect her deep concern for the environment. I own three of the four books in this series and have found all of them to be full of useful information. I use them with my second grade daughter as well as with my preschool class of three and four year old children. The artwork by Margaret Brandt is accurate and detailed. The factual information is presented simply yet thoroughly. Throughout the book the author, Toni Albert, shares some of her personal journal and encourages the reader to do the same. No project requires unusual materials, everything can be found or easily obtained at little or no cost. I will be buying the final book in this series soon.
