Product Description
From the perspective of today's kids, life seems to feel like a ride on a roller coaster during a tornado. And kids appear to be under attack, from within and without. The news sites post a never ending series of stories about teen suicides and disappearances, and physical attacks from those in positions that traditionally, were always trusted.
It is now the norm for the kids of today to live lives that are much too traumatic and way too frequently visited by adversity to allow their emotions to relax in peace.
"To All My Kids With Love, Mama E," began from a mental journal I began recording from scores of conversations with 20-somethings that I taught during my years as a corporate trainer in a call center. It was during that experience that I learned how much kids miss the chats with Grandmas and Madeas and Aunties like those of my generation had when we were their age.
As I talked with today's kids, many of them over 20, I learned that my old school approaches to coaching and mentoring were making a difference in their lives. And I learned that they were able to share this wisdom with their kids, which resulted in many positive changes in the relationships in their homes.
It is my hope that the readers, whether young kids or old kids, like me, will learn something about life and love as they read some very simple words about how life can be changed in a flash. What I have to share are just a few dozen ideas that tend to have a miraculous impact on people in need of a few words from the heart.
To All My Kids, please understand that knowledge is power, even when it appears from the most unlikely sources.
Love,
Mama E
