This book is a good way for kids to keep up with their writing skills over the summer, and record a description of their summer adventure to look back on years to come. The book is compact enough to travel with, and has good prompts to help kid's think about things to write.

A Future Treasure,
By
This review is from: Kid's Trip Diary (Kids Guide Series) (Paperback)
Our three children whose ages range from 8 to 13 have filled four books each. The Trip Diary makes a great reference tool at home before the trip even begins with pages entitled "What to take along" and "Whom to send postcards to." Once this type of information is filled out it can be used over again to prepare for future trips. The fun starts when the book accompanies the child in down time such as on a long plane, train or car ride. With pencil and crayons in tow it will keep a young one occupied. The book has basic and brief prompts which is helpful compared to an ordinary lined journal, yet the amount of detail put into it depends entirely upon the child. We have even combined a few days into one or two pages. There is a perfect drawing area so the child can express what they have seen through means of a little art work. Our oldest finds it fun to download pictures from a digital camera and affix some of her own photography to the appropriate pages. There is room for a caption beneath each picture as well. Our family has encouraged use of the Kid's Trip Diary from camping trips to extended over-seas vacations. With a little help the diary can be alot of fun and most of all become a true treasure. Appreciation for their diaries will mature as the children themselves do. Afterall, who does not like to look back on vacations well spent? The Kid's Trip Diary is key to retaining such memories in the eyes of the children.

When I was hunting for a journal or scrapbook for my kids to record our vacation to Walt Disney World, I hunted and hunted many stores and online and was relieved to find this book. I actually purchased this along with the Trip Tracker Journal. I really enjoyed this book and so did my kids. The Diary had lots of room, we have pages left. There was a page per day of vacation and there was a place for them to record the souveniers they purchased and the cost of them. There was a page every day for them to write about their favorite thing that day, and there was room for them to draw a picture or to put a picture on that page. My kids loved drawing their pictures! There were a few questions for them to fill in each day. This was a great end to each of our day! Now we have a great keepsake of our vacation!! If you are looking for a fun way for your kids to record a vacation, I'd recommend this to everyone!

How FUN!,

We got this travel diary for my 6 year old for our trip to Australia. It gave her structure for her daily entries and there was a place for her to draw a picture (we also cut out pictures from brochures for that space). We played some of the daily games. It was much better for a child than a blank journal.

The BEST Travel Diary for Kids,

This is one of the best travel diaries for kids out there. There is enough space for them to write the day's activities, giving their insight without it feeling like homework. :D

My 7 year old daughter took this book on our trip to London. She had a great time every evening recording her adventures for the day and listing where she went, what she ate and what she bought. Along with our vacation photos, this will provide great memories of her first trip to London.
