I actually received this valance in the Zanzibar bed set. But, if you need to purchase another one for an extra window in the nursery - do not hesitate. This is a beautiful valance and actually has the same lovely fabrics (including suede like fabric) & textured animals as the bed skirt, bumper, & quilt. I have noticed other bed sets (even the expensive ones) where the valances are quite plain.

The valance measure's around 90 inches wide. But, is meant to have a bunched up look so it looks great on narrower windows. Also, beige or sage colored drapes or sheers would be a great complement to this valance to shield the nursery from day light during nap time.

We love the look and feel of this valance! We have a double window in our nursery and were concerned that we'd have to buy an additional valance, but one was plenty. Highly recommended.

The Zanzibar valance is adorable! We hung ours up this weekend and because the valance is much wider than our window, some of the animals weren't visible.. we took the valance down and stuffed it with bunched up tissue paper. It now looks great and you can see all of the animals! We also purchased the matching drapes which complete the look!

I bought this valance to go in my nursery and didn't know what to do when I got home & saw how big it was. We decided to make a cornice board and stretch the fabric over it. It turned out great..you can see all of the animals and I had extra fabric left over to do other things with in the nursery.

This valance is great! I have 2 smaller windows in my baby girl's room and was able to cut the valance, sew the edges and make it fit both windows! It hangs straight down so you are able to see all the animals and I didn't even have to cut an animal in half. I have gotten so many compliments on this pattern - it's just the best for either a boy or girl's room.

This item looks great above my sons windows.
