Product Description

The Queen of England has 5 Welsh corgis: Emma, Linnet, Monty, Holly and Willow. Her Majesty loves corgi’s so much that designer Chris Collicot created Elroy, a corgi companion for the Solar Queen. When you get a good one, it works with just a little light. But they break in shipping so get one from a place that has them on display or see it in action before buying. The packaging is bad from the manufacturer. The head sits on a plastic balance with counter weight/magnetic and that balance will break or come off and the thing is pointless. I have a previous unit that works just fine, but purchased for a dollar more at brick and mortar discount book store. Of course while writing this I disassembled mine and found that the balance has 2 points to hold the head and second fulcrum point wasn't even attached. Re-attached and now it works. Video shows mechanism and where fulcrum points.

Even in full sunlight, the corgi is catatonic. Packaging looked like it had been opened. Disappointing. The Queen wouldn't stand for this.

I love corgis! My bobblehead came broken at the neck joint. Ok, so I thought, he can at least make a cute decoration in my car. WRONG. The glue from his head freaking started melting! Down the front chest. I then noticed all the glue holding his feet into place melting as well. I live in Indiana. I am glad I caught the glue melting before it got onto my dash. I would have been super mad! If you're ok with it not working and destroying the interior of your car, then it's the item for you.

Doesn't work at all! The head of the dog looks like it's not attached correctly. It flops all over but doesn't move in the sunlight. I even brought this outside in full sun and got nothing. There's also a blue mark of paint on the side of the dog's face...there's nothing that's blue on the dog! This product is total crap. I wouldn't be so ticked about this if I hadn't paid almost 30 bucks for the item with shipping.

He is adorable and looks so cute standing next to Her Majesty. The solar panel works great. He is constantly bobbing his head.I just love him!

I got one of these little solar corgis in a silent auction last fall and it worked great. Then I accidentally broke it. No problem, I thought, I'll just see if I can get a replacement. So I ordered one from Amazon (via a 3rd party seller) and it came with the head all skewed to one side, and of course, didn't bobble. Amazon replaced it (from a different 3rd party seller) with next-day delivery. That one didn't bobble. Amazon replace THAT one (from yet another 3rd party seller) with second-day delivery. The THIRD one actually worked like it should. That was in mid-March. It is now mid-May, and the glue has started running down the inside of the corgi's head, cementing his head to his neck. I worked some of the glue off and got it to bobble a little, but there appears to be a LOT of glue remaining on one side of the inside of his head. He is no longer a bobblehead corgi, just a dashboard ornament. I agree with the reviewer who wrote that you should stick with buying one from a brick & mortar store where you could return it when it stops working (in less than 60 days), or just be happy with a cute corgi figurine.

I really like the idea of the solar dog, but the dog's head doesn't move. It's a problem with the dog because I have several solar toys lined up and they're all bopping away, but the little dog just stands there. Disappointing.

I had the solar Queen Elizabeth, but couldn't find the corgi. Well, now we have a matching set! Great! Thanks!
