I like the design. It's sleek and fun.
As a timepiece, though, resetting it from scratch once a month: gets old, really fast.
Clock is made of plastic with a qualified wooden affect.
It's a 6cm cube. Image of the product on Amazon is a little misleading about the size. nevertheless it is elegant small alarm clock.
Has bright red digits and a powerful alarm sound.
It has an automatic standby mode.
Clapping often works for this clock to turn on from even 5 m away.
Needs two of AAA battery; and in manual, it is said two battery lasts for about a month. (i havent tested it yet)
It's not a "clap on" as it's falsely advertised. It has two settings, "always on" or "on for a few seconds". When the latter is chosen, you have to tap it with your finger to get it to pop back on for a few seconds to check the time. Clapping did NOTHING, unless you can clap hard enough to rock it with sound waves... LOL.
The instructions are in some other eastern language, my guess Chinese. The English translation makes no sense and is counter-intuitive to trying to figure the thing out. Trial and Error is more efficient.
Mine must have been defective, because once I got it set, it would be great for about 5 minutes, then it would make a BEEP, flash crazy-like like it were doing a demonstration or calibration, then just defaulted to 12:00 again... it was so irritating!!!
Don't waste your money.
kinda boring, doesn't work as an excavator or a nuclear launchpad. seemed cooler when i was buying it, but bonus points for being innovative and feng shui.
The cube clock measures approx. 3in x 3in x 3in. It is small, however after watching the price for a few days, I purchased it for $5 with a shipping cost of $3 or so. So, if you want it for a cheaper price be patient. If you want it then and now for cheap, that's your problem.
The only downside I see with this product is more likely a manufacturer defect and user error. I bought some cheap alkaline batteries for it-- since it was cheaper to buy it without the DC 6v charger--and after a few days of use, the display was random and no longer displayed the time. Took the batteries out and reinserted them, a few hours later it did the same thing. I replaced the batteries with some non-alkalie, higher quality Duracells after a few days without use. This seemed to work for a day, however it had the same display issue the next day and was leaking battery acid. The instructions it came with were Chinglish at best so I threw them out a while ago. However, the device was likely not compatable with alkaline batteries, so I'll take that as fault on my behalf.
Giving this clock 4 stars, for good design, it DOES function, price, and ease of use. It loses one star to the lack of readability of the instructions and the fact that I had to throw it out. However, I'm already planning on buying the larger wooden LED clock as a replacement. Needless to say I'd buy it again.

Clapping works as expected. Nice to have an alarm clock that is totally dark until needed. Bought rechargeable AAA batteries instead of using the clunky USB cord. Read morePublished 8 days ago by Phillip Cameron
