Customer Questions & Answers

Customer Reviews

I love bar soap but never liked how it would drip down or leave the grime if left in a dish.
A. Hudson
I thought the suction would stick to the wall in the shower (they advertised that it could work on any smooth surface) but it keeps popping off the wall.
Kheops
The suction cup works on my ceramic tiles and the magnet is strong enough to hold a regular bar of Dove soap.

I had seen this type of magnet soap holder a long time ago in someone else's home and always remembered how clean it kept the basin and seemingly fun it was. Could it be that the inexpensive, sucker-securing version sold here would be as nice as the one from my memories?

Sure enough, the rubber seal secures perfectly on the backsplash of the bathroom sink, and the magnet that presses into the soap holds well. My spouse was skeptical about the whole idea, but there's no more yucky soap scum build-up, our soap lasts longer, our kid is encouraged to use the soap because the magnet is fun, and the chrome look blends in with the other accents in the bathroom.

It might not be for you, but I would suggest you give it a try!

This is fantastic -- the suction cup sticks really well, the magnet is a strong one, and my soap has already lasted longer than usual.

The idea is great and it does what it is supposed to do.
However, the arm is only around 2 inches long so it can't keep the soap very far from the mirror. That defeats the purpose of keeping the counter top clean as the soap drips over the counter rather in the basin.

I have used a lot of products in my shower and the suction cup doesn't work and the item ends up in the bottom of the tub. The suction on this soap holder is GREAT. No more soap gunk to clean. Yahoo.

I have to say that I am very impressed with this product overall. I wish its appearance was a little bit more refined and/or of better quality, but it does look exactly like the picture, so no deception there (was just hoping it looked better in person, but for the price...). It works like a charm. I've never been able to use suction cup anything anywhere...just don't have good luck with them staying put, til now! This actually stays put, which is amazing considering my boyfriend's bar of soap is something like Paul Bunyan would use, easily 1-1/2 bigger than a regular size bar of soap. His soap is so big none of the regular soap holders/dishes were big enough for it, hence the purchase. Was afraid, even with all the great reviews that this soap was just going to be too big to stay up, but have had no problems. Don't think it could handle any heavier/bigger bar, the holder part does not stay centered on the inserted magnet & precariously hangs on the edge of the magnet instead of the center, but it has been up for a week with no problems. We love it! I'm now so confident that it won't fall that I am moving it to the back of the shower where it will hang over my imported crystal decanters of bath products, which I was afraid it would crash down on before.

On a funny note this is a great conversation piece and a brilliant way to detect who is nosing around in your bathroom! I have this in my shower/bath area & on two separate occasions I've had people come out & ask me where I got this & what a great idea or how amusing they found it. I found it amusing that they would out themselves as to being big snoops, as they would have to actively look in that area where they had no business! Calling out your friends is another whole big fun conversation!

I bought this thinking it would be a neat novelty item. It did not hold any soap for me. I tried Dove, Dial, and Irish Spring. I can now see why someone is holding it in one of the sample pictures. I even went to an area hotel for some of the small thin soap and it didn't even hold that! This does NOT, i repeat Not work. It looks like it is made out of metal... it isn't. It is all plastic besides the magnet and metal piece that is supposed to be attracted to the magnet. I am very disappointed in this product.

This was much less expensive than competing products and works very well. The 'bottle cap' magnet you push into the back of the soap holds quite well, and the magnet in the mount simply snaps it up firmly. The mount is holding nicely to my tile wall. All in all, a nice, simple, easy, does-what-it-advertise product. Recommended.

Had my doubts, but this works quite well. Suction if very good and thought that the disk magnet that you stick into the soap bar would come out/be a pain as you got to the end of the soap, but no problems whatsoever. Even heavy large bars have stayed put. Getting another for the kid's shower!
