5.0 out of 5 stars cute
I have a collection of kikkerland "toys" and this is by far one of the most creative with the head dangling on a string as it dances to place its head back in place. it works best on hard surfaces. love this design - definitely one of my favorites.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stupid thing
I can not understand how to play with this toy. It just trembles. Do not want to go anywhere. The string gets stuck often.
Can someone tell me what is it for?

My daughter collects these and I've given several as gifts. They are good for pre-teens and teens who like gagets. This one is different in that you pull the white plug and it is wound by a string. It has a fairly long jump time compared to some of the other Kikkerland mechanical toys and it tends to stay upright on a flat surface.

Ten of the wind-up toys in this category were purchased to give to my many male relatives who are otherwise hard to buy for - three sons, a brother, and a bunch of teen-age grandsons. Oahaca is a humorous, or perhaps I should say downright silly, toy that works well as a conversation piece on a man's desk and as a goofy amusement for a teen. It is totally pointless, which is a great part of its charm. This toy, or one of its siblings, has been the hit of several birthday parties, never failing to put a smile on many a face with its bouncy, frenetic action. (The question often put to me is "Where do you find this great stuff?" Thank you, Amazon.com!)

Kikkerland mechanical toys are fantastic - We have quite a few of them and each is fun in its own way - they invite play - We have our Kikkerland toys lined up on the mantle and people will walk in and just pull a string, turn a key, give a little push - it is hard to resist them - and they appeal to children of all ages - they make great house gifts and stocking stuffers

I love this toy! It's the 7th Kikkerland toy in my collection. All Kikkerlands are interesting even just to look at as you marvel at the robot-like construction. And they never fail to bring smiles and laughter as soon as you wind them up and put them to work.

I bought this [awa Cosmojetz & Awiki] and with it's unique "string-pull wind-up action", I rate it best!
Awiki's a close 2nd, what with sparks flying out the rear as it skitters across the floor.
They all seem well made, well thought out and very smartly packaged.
Do note the they run for just 5 to 10 seconds on each winding.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool gadget for the engineering geek, December 15, 2011

I bought this for my boss for this year's Secret Santa exchange. He is into gadgets and engineering stuff and this was right up his alley. It is totally useless to be sure, but it is very cool. It bounces around all spaz-like and you just want to pull its head off to see it go again. It's been a hit at the office. I wouldn't recommend it for a child as it is kind of fragile and I can see that my 6 year old would destroy it in a matter of seconds.

I now own two of these kikkerland monsters. Fun little cute desk toys although I feel the price point is a bit high.
