We've had a somewhat difficult stretch over the past few months and have lost several friends and relatives. We, however, always try to leave the family members with something which will help to keep their loved ones 'alive' in their homes and in their hearts and have found that the Rainbow Makers by Kikkerland serve that purpose exceptionally well. We've purchased several of these through Amazon and have received nothing but compliments. Try one and you'll understand just what I mean!

I love these things. They remind me of the Polyanna movie. I have bought several. I have one in my window at school in my classroom, one at home, and one in my grandchild's window.
Light dances around the room.

This item will indeed throw lights and prisms all over your house. It must be placed in direct, strong sunlight to move, but it will throw static lights in weaker sunlight. If you have a retarded cat that chases after lights, this will provide the little bugger with much entertainment. The crystal is solid and very attractive. I recommend this item.

What a simple yet dynamic addition to a home! I received my own as a gift several years ago and have enjoyed it constantly over time. I now give them myself and find that the recipients are very, very grateful.

My cat loves to chase rainbows and this item works great for that! The sun has to be pretty bright and direct for it to work - in this Northern winter light, sometimes it just doesn't make enough juice. However, over all, it's a great idea and works fine.

I just bought this for my mother. My dad has a couple so I know how great they are. I wanted to say that I found this on another website & did't find out until the end that they were going to charge me $11 for shipping! I DON'T THINK SO!! Amazon has the most reasonable shipping prices I've found. Also I could attach a card for free. I love it!

I purchased 3 different types of Rainbow Makers as Christmas gifts this year. I gave the heart-shaped one to my mom. It makes really pretty rainbows as expected, however I deducted one star because I think the heart shaped crystal results in fewer rainbows than the normal octagonal shape. But that doesn't mean it won't produce a beautiful display of color for hours in a sunny room! This would make a wonderful Valentine's Day or Mother's Day gift, too!

we bought it for a christmas present.we wanted to make sure it worked so we had to try it out right?double pane glass is a no no. but after we got on the proper window it stuck and worked.so we took it down for her and will see if the others want one also.so now we want one but will wait for the other comments from the other kids.

For the most part I really enjoy the rainbow maker. I love the fact that its solar powered, though that seems to be a slight downfall. It seems it only works in strong sunlight, and living in Ohio, I can only get a couple hours of the day to be "bathe in rainbows".

It was worth the money (about $20) and the merchant used was very quick with delivery, another plus.

My mom loves this thing & it's pretty clever. A tiny solar panel powers a revolving mechanism that turns a heart-shaped crystal. On sunny days this causes rainbows to dance over the walls & ceiling; sort of a new age disco ball without the frenzy. My only caveat is that it may fall off the window when it's suction cup lets go. It should probably be restuck from time-to-time. It if falls from the window too many times it will break. Because this happened several times with ours we are on our second one.
