Great for young readers,
By Angelia Crayle "madame lazy pants" (savannah....but i want to be back in MD) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Kilala Princess Volume 4 (v. 4) (Paperback)
When I first saw this series at borders, I was curious so I picked it up. After flipping through it, I found it to very similar to one of my all time favorite games: Kingdom Hearts, but this one is geared toward little girls. By having the main character go through the different disney books to save her friend Emily and help her new friend Rei find the princess that will save his world. It teaches childern the value of friendship and that no matter what in life you be true to yourself and fight for whats right and what you believe in.
My little cousins were 12 and 8 when I got the first book for the 8 year old, neither of them like reading much, but since Ally got the first book I get phone calls every month wanting an update on when the next book comes out. She actually looks forward to the packages in the mail with them and it got her hooked on reading, and even her older sister can't wait for the next book to come out to read it. I will admit I enjoyed the series soo much I have copies for my cousins and myself. I suggest this to anyone who is looking to help get a kid hooked on books, its disney, its manga, its adventure, drama, romance, comedy and princesses all rolled into one!! :) |
