5.0 out of 5 stars this is a hardcore, non rap album
This album is intense and extremely, viciously angry and 8 or 9 of the 10 songs are faster than anything on urban discipline or any other biohazard album as a matter of fact. It is a pure hardcore album with no rapping in it. Although Urban discipline is obviously their best album they can ever make, this album is a lot rougher and more raw. Any old Biohazard fan will be...

3.0 out of 5 stars Biohazard - 'Kill Or Be Killed' (Sanctuary)
'Kill Or...' is the band's eighth and most recent CD.I sort of lost interest in Biohazard awhile back, for the most part anyway. This latest effort is okay, but it isn't as good as their 'State Of the World Address' or 'Mata Leao' discs.Notice that the rap element now is gone, which is good.Tracks I thought were worth mentioning are the title cut "Kill Or Be Killed",the...

Any old Biohazard fan will be very pleased, or maybe they will think Biohazard went too far with the raw sound and didn't experiment at all. I doubt that though. Who knows. Metallica has caused heavy metal fans to hate bands that experiment with their sound.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hardcore at its best, April 10, 2003
This review is from: Kill Or Be Killed (Audio CD)
Biohazard sounds so awesome! This cd should be up for hardcore of the year award. That is how devestating this cd is. I love the sound, its about time Biohazard got back on track. The last cd's they put out were very weak. This is a flash back to there great sound, and it is about time. This by the way isnt a rap nu metal sound cd. So if you are looking for that type of feel or sound, sorry for you wont find it here. So to sum it up just buy it for you wont be sorry that you did.

5.0 out of 5 stars Biohazard's best, December 30, 2005
This review is from: Kill Or Be Killed (Audio CD)
Biohazard emerged in the early 1990's, and are equally as responsible as Rage Against the Machine for the creation and popularity boom of rap-metal. Up to this point, Biohazard spent their career fine-tuning their rap-rock formula. But with this album, their seventh release from the studio, they put the hip-hop vocals on the back burner and just focus on making this a slab of sheer, down tuned, relentless brutality. The riffs echo recent Slayer albums, and these songs are full of shout-alongs which bring to mind late '80's Anthrax. Evan Seinfeld's thug-ish vocals are full of rage and help add to the album's intensity. The band even experiment with a few songs: "Heads Kicked In" has a tribal rhythm, and the album closing tune, "Hallowed Ground," ends with a spoken word passage which strings together the preceding song titles in a threat of violence. The title track and "Dead To Me" are two other stand-outs. This may not be a classic Biohazard album, and it shouldn't put a smile on the faces of any older fans, but if you like great, brutal metal, you should definitely pick this up.

5.0 out of 5 stars holeeee [cow]. this is ... amazing, April 14, 2003
This review is from: Kill Or Be Killed (Audio CD)
... this cd is awesome. this is by far biohazard's heaviest [stuff]. "kill or be killed", "never forgive, never forget", and "dead to me" are awesome. it's good to see biohazard starting to take a step in the direction of true metal. don't get me wrong, i like their rap/metal style on their other CD's like "uncivilization" and "new world disorder", but I think we can all agree that it was time for some kind of change as the rap metal style is losing originality with the rising of such ... groups like limp bizkit and P.O.D. and all those unoriginal cockjockeys who just [copied] biohazard's style. long story short: this CD is a must have for any true meta head

4.0 out of 5 stars Still Kicking it, December 19, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Kill Or Be Killed (Audio CD)
I was quite pleased when I heard this album. I am glad the rap influence is gone. That was the worst move they ever made.

My particular fav album of theirs is their first album, Biohazard. Urban Discipline comes in second.

This album will suprise you on how much more brutal they have become. It is still not as catchy as their previous albums, but its a good listen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for hardcore fans!!!!, March 18, 2003

This album is awesome! I can't get enough of Biohazard. Obviously they have grown as a band and for some reason or another keep replacing one of the guitar players. But there music has always stayed true and as long as it does I will remain a loyal fan. They are not commercial and they just make music. That is rare. Buy this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best out there, September 22, 2004
By
This review is from: Kill Or Be Killed (Audio CD)
This is the way a political cd should be made. I'm proud to be a fan of Biohazard and just like me they are proud of their country. The guitars are still as harsh as ever. The vocals are leaning towards death metal or the overly cliched metalcore. Either way it is still Biohazard and they are the heaviest band out there today. I know there are bands that are more talented, Tool comes to mind. I know there are bands that seem heavier, every death metal band comes to mind but those bands do not have the mixture of all the elements. The anger in this cd is incredible. The lyrics are powerful and it should be noted that Biohazard are not jumping on the Pro-American bandwagon like so many country groups are doing. They have always had thank yous to the Veterans in their albums. It's nice to see a band that shows so much anger be compassionate enough to thank the Veterans who have fought for us to listen to music. Get the cd, get all of Biohazard's cds.

5.0 out of 5 stars devastating, March 29, 2003
This review is from: Kill Or Be Killed (Audio CD)
Listening to Biohazard albums is like listening to the evolution of hardcore.People say that they are trying to sound like other bands because they tuned their guitars way down. Yeah, the guitars are low, but if you listen you will find out that this same ...band that delivers the off the wall hardcore that makes them the best of their genre. There are few bands that don't know the meaning of the word sellout and Biohazard is certainly one of them. "Kill or be Killed" is nothing short of amazing. Some standouts are "Never forgive, Never forget", the title track and "Beaten Sensless" which is exactly how you will feel after hearing that song however, the whole ablum is stellar from start to finish. Also featured on this album is the latest in Biohazard's revolving door of lead guitarists. This time it is Carmine Vincent. This is the new millenium and biohazard seem poised to take hardcore to a whole new level. Get this album and all of their others for that matter.
