This album was awesome, the beats were sick. The production was top notch and all rappers to contribute came through.

read other people's reviews. All I am going to say is that this is a dream pairing. When people talk about best west coast producers, they always mention Dr Dre and Quik. But, hit for hit, I think MUGGS may beat them both.

ill Bill Kills The Devil...Sick Jacken & B Real Take part in Slaughter!,

ill Bill is a difficult artist to produce due to his unordinary word usage, content, and rapid fire flow. DJ Muggs is a producer who is always looking for a challenge to produce artist who are not typical/difficult artist such as(Muggs vs Genius, Sick Jacken and now ill Bill., That being said ill Bill and Muggs create a dark, grim horrific portrait of a world where the end of days are here and thier is nothing we can do about it-("Abandon all hope, buy more guns and more coke, build a bunker under your home, its all over, before the C.I.A comes and takes us away, I'll be lighting up the kush and go out in a blaze")-lyrics from Amputated Saints.A lot of you will here the album and expect more because of the novelty on paper of Bill and Muggs union but need to soak up the album with 3 listen's before judging it. The song "Trouble Shooters" begins with an ill Bill flow so sick it reminds me of Kool G. Rap in his prime which Bill is a major fan of. Sick Jacken spit a verse/flow so wicked, it stayed with me hours later after hearing it. B real has a new battery in his back since this album which shows that creating music is motivation and some people need each other to create great music. This album unlike many has great replay value like all of Bills albums. Listen to the cd 3 times before judging it and you will love it.
PS. Sean Price and O.C dont do songs with any artist which proves how proven and respected ill Bill is to hip hop. Support underground hip hop!

The Fourth Entry in the Versus Series,
This review is from: Kill Devil Hills (Audio CD)
Believe what I tell you: "Kill Devil Hills" will be the best rap album of 2010.
To begin, I must first say this: DJ Muggs always--and I mean ALWAYS--brings his A-game when producing single tracks or whole albums. For the uninformed, let's review Muggs' albums: Muggs partnered with GZA of Wu-Tang Clan in 2005 (Grandmasters), Sick Jacken of Psycho Realm in 2007 (Legend of the Mask & The Assassin), Planet Asia of Cali Agents in 2008 (Pain Language), and after three CLASSIC joints, he partnered with Ill Bill of Non-Phixion and La Coka Nostra for "Kill Devil Hills." (What a track record!) And yes...this is another masterpiece, another classic from Muggs--straight up. But what should you expect from DJ Muggs and Ill Bill? Expect music that Jacken described as "dusted as f---" and music that makes you feel "like [you're] on drugs." Expect SOMETHING wonderful that will stay in your head long after you finish spinning it. Expect to REMEMBER this album. Oh yeah...I forget to mention Ill Bill's track record! (Check out What's Wrong With Bill and Hour of Reprisal.) And yes...Bill ALSO brings his A-game. He gives his listeners a challenging balance of absurdity, social issues, and pure, unadulterated gangsta rap. "Cult Assassin" is a great way to start off the album. I started bobbing my head immediately. The bass rolls continuously while a choir chants. "Trouble Shooters" is vintage Muggs material. Jacken, Sean Price, and O.C. are all on point. Bill spits: "Vikings drink blood / Gangstas drink gin and juice...." That's gangsta. "Illuminati 666" keeps things moving. "Amputated Saint" is a great track. B real of Cypress Hill always sounds welcome on a Muggs track. "Skull and Guns" is very serious, very solemn (and possibly the best track on the album). Bill spits: "Yo, we just talkin' / Conversations with God / Shout at the devil / Hundreds of rebel martyrs assembled..." The eastern flavor and the hook on this track will haunt you. Slaine and Everlast will amaze. Now...listen carefully to Q-Unique's verse on "Giants Stadium." He kills it! "Millenniums of Murder" is unsettling and very, very cool. Bill concludes: "We know we make you nervous." Insanity! "Chase Manhattan" seems like it doesn't belong on this record...but then you realize that it gives the listener a nice change of pace. Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan always tells a good story. Listen as these two artists "rob a bank" over a catchy, fast-paced beat. (And listen for Johnny Depp at the end. It's a nice touch.) More insanity! "Ill Bill TV" will soon be as popular as "The Anatomy of a School Shooting" on "What's Wrong With Ill Bill?" or even "Trust Nobody" on "The Hour of Reprisal." Bill just spits and spits and spits. This man just can't be stopped! "Secrets Worth Dying For" is another unsettling track. Bill spits against another "dusted," menacing beat. Chace Infinite, the lyrical murder: why are you not dropping solo albums? Where are you?! "2013" acts as a sequel to Jacken's "2012." It's short, but sweet. "Kill Devil Hills" will be the most memorable collaboration track on this album. The mix of piano and keyboard is very off-putting--but in a good way. B Real and Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks provide some variety. "Narco Corridos" is the most haunting track on this album. Uncle Howie gives us some "wisdom" and Bill and Jacken tell another sad story. The beat, along with Jacken's Spanish hook, will be as memorable as "Smothered Mate" on "Grandmasters" or "Triple Threat" on "Pain Language." Even the interludes, "Paul Stanley," "The Owl," and "Luciferian Imperium" are cool and dangerous--and more importantly, they're never distracting. Again--and I can't stress this enough--this album is a CLASSIC in every way possible. DJ Muggs and Ill Bill (and the outstanding guest artists) will prove to you that hip hop music is alive and here to stay. This is REAL hip hop! Peace.

Since iTunes was being a pain, I decided to purchase this album via the Amazon mp3 digital distributor because A. it's three bucks cheaper and B. I've been waiting for this album and want to support good music. Here's the kicker, from what I've heard the album is top notch in production and Ill Bill is as usual on point lyrically, but Amazon completely failed at having the correct track name for each song. The first song or two is correct, then I realized that the song that's supposed to feature B-Real does not in fact have B-Real in it, and the song that's supposed to have Slaine and Everlast has B-Real, and then the trend continues from then on out. This was the first (and last) time I've used Amazon's digital distributor and boy did it teach me a thing or two about why it's 6.99 instead of iTune's 9.99. Amazon has usually been more than exceptional, but their digital distribution, at least on this purchase, is severely lacking. I'm forced to figure out which song is which, then rename it. For those songs that are without guests and I've already renamed, I now will be at a loss as to which one is the actual name of the song. If iTunes will actually accept my debit card the next time I try to download something, I will pay the extra 3 dollars because it's much more worth it.
