5.0 out of 5 stars Stellar, addictive....this is a terrific album !, June 29, 2001

Jen Zablocki is a rock-folk poet, with the voice of a growling angel. This disc has taken my CD player hostage and it won't let go.

I could enjoy it for its rock and rumble sound alone, but it resonates on many other levels as well. It exists in that space between rock and folk where I think of Nancy Griffiths, but also Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan and Sheryl Crowe.

The songs are mostly picture postcards from an emotional minefield each of us can recognize. The moment and the feeling become crystallized and that image is searingly impressed on my brain.

This is a great CD, with wonderful musicianship from the whole band, great harmonies, and Jen's voice at once sweet and powerful. Listen to the second track "Richard" and the CD will follow you home, too.
