Behind the wall of noise lies the most angry band in the world, June 25, 2006
This review is from: Kill Everyone (Audio CD)
Grindcore, for the most part, is all about two things: 1. being incredibly angry (I'd use a harsher word, but I'm sure Amazon would just change it, being the nazis they are,) at every single thing in existence and 2. keeping the songs short and to the point.
With these two main aspects in mind, it's safe to say that Watchmaker excel by leaps and bounds past any other modern grind outfit, be it Nasum, Pig Destroyer, Agoraphobic Nosebleed or Kill the Client. Everything about this band is just soaked in the utmost chaotic hatred, the album titles, the lyrics, most importantly the music and vocals, for anything that finds a place on this earth, and it's brilliant.

Absolute insanity...in the best way, December 19, 2003
This review is from: Kill Everyone (Audio CD)
Watchmaker have really done it with their new album. Kill.Crush.Destroy was intense, but this takes the cake, folks. They have developed a sound completely unto themselves. They are are metal; pieces of death, black, grindcore. There is some (alot of) noise thrown in to blend everything together and it works perfectly.
The guitars form a wall of sound that literally pummels the listener and the drums are the reinforcement behind them. In front of everything else is Brian Livoti, the vocalist. His vocals are bar none, the most crazed I have yet to hear. Forget all of that brutal death metal crap; he is saying what he means.
If you call yourself "metal", you must listen to this album. If you don't like it, you must be "emo".
