Sorry couldn't put this one down. I really enjoy the twist and surprises. I really got into the people and the story. It's not to romantic or distasteful with a bunch of sex scenes. It's just the right story fir a sleepless night.

What a fantastic story! No gross sexual situations to skip over.... no long boring descriptions to skip over..... written with the style and taste of an old black and white film!!! THANK YOU.!

This reminded me of one of those soap opera like movies of the week, full of larger than life characters and non-stop drama. The story pulled me in right away and kept me on the edge of my seat trying to keep up and wondering what would happen next. There were a few twists and turns that I did not see coming at all, which is always fun. It looks like there might be a sequel and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Should be -5 as there is no end to this story. If authors want to write a series at least have the courtesy to end each book. This is simply taking readers money with a view to selling the follow-up.This is becoming a bad habit.

This was a very engaging book. I've read similar stories before, sure. Rich families coming together, something a tad immoral about one or the other, maybe both. A lost sister finding herself back in the small town she ran screaming from decades ago. Then there's murder, death, even a little amnesia and prostitution. So, there are some odd little curves to the story that sets it a bit apart. The characters are believable and the author leaves you wanting to know more at the very end. Very clever!

To Kill For b y A.J Carella

A Family Saga Begins

This is a solid story leading into what promises to be an entertaining family soap opera, with dark potential. To begin with an accidental death, followed by an attempted murder and a subsequent period of amnesia is to inject enough suspense for any story. Add wealthy families and not so wealthy schemers and there is in the pot a wide range of recipes which make for some delicious reading. The McKay family encompasses criminals, police and tons of money, promising a good future.

Greed is the biggest motive for murder... Jamie has lived a fairy tale princess life and on her 21st birthday she makes everyone happy by accepting a proposal from her suitable boyfriend. Her adopted brother Jake is having issues due to his adoptive fathers tough hardcore actions toward him and is having a relationship with the resident hoochie Carrie who has been hunting for a ride on the gravy train by having sex with every rich man she can- including a spin with Jamie's fiancé Ted. Ted has a hidden agenda too- his family is broke and he has to have Jamie's money..

So the scene is set and the subsequent events bring Jamie's Aunt Kat home, Jake unhappily married and blackmailed by Carrie, and Jamie walking the streets turning tricks for a violent pimp named Blade and a bad case of amnesia...

So I don't want to give away any spoilers but if you enjoy a good convoluted twisty turn mystery you will love this one! Good read!

This book was great, until the ending. The last page just stops leaving you with unanswered questions. I do not like cliff hangers they are just written to sell the next book which I will probably buy. Good story frustrating ending.
