2.0 out of 5 stars interesting background on culture, but too limited, September 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Kill Thy Neighbor: One Man's Incredible Story of Loss and Deliverance in Rwanda (Paperback)
I read this after reading the riveting "We wish to inform you..." book on the Rwandan genocide. While it provided an interesting, somehwat more intimate look at Rwandan culture and included a "personal" perspective, the overall writing hindered it's merit. Written not nearly as well as P.G.'s "We wish to inform" book, the author also liberally dosed the material with some religious perspective that I found demeaning to the impact of the tragedy. Too many "what is God thinking?" arguments for me.
