If you know your reggae music, then this album is one of a kind

Regarding "A Customer's" comment about the 5 year old & 8 track sound quality...you need to understand these are Killamanjaro DUBPLATES. Even if Jaro set up in your living room and played these dubs, the sound quality wouldn't be much better than on this CD. It is rare to have a sound release full length versions of their dubs on a CD, let alone 20 tunes by the same artist. I would have paid the same price for this CD just for the 3 Garnett/Capelton tunes alone. This is a must buy for any Garnett fan.

this album shows garnett in a more truthful light. granted that there are really great songs from him that are not included on this album, jaro remembers garnett silk is the pinnacle achievment of his career. "make a joyful noise"
"evacuate" and "respect jaro" w/capleton catch him at his best. there is not one mediocre song here with the exception of the yankee doodle rendition.
as far as the sound quality is concerned, A++++++++++++++++++++++
if you want a taste of real life dancehall inna de yard, this is an album that will stand the test of time. i would dare to say it is one of the best dancehall records of all time!!!!

Garnett Silk was a kingly character and this cd is a great tribute. Heavy heavy Bass on these dub plates. Raw. Can't listen to some of these tracks without wheeling them four or five times.
