Play the interview game and clobber the competition!

Ever have other candidates beat you to jobs you wanted, even though they didn't have half of what you had to offer? It's a good bet they knew how to play the interview game - a contest you can learn to ace with Killer Interviews, by master coaches Frederick W. Ball and Barbara B. Ball. This guide to interview strategy tells you how to:
* Take advantage of the only three rules any interviewee needs to know
* Read interviewers like a book, recognizing and responding to their predictable signals
* Make subtle adjustments in your presentation that can push you over the top
* Walk the fine line between confidence and cockiness
* Savor the "thrill of the kill", but not let it seduce you into accepting an offer that's wrong for you
* Much, much more

5.0 out of 5 stars Real Advice We All Can Use, February 19, 2010
This review is from: Killer Interviews (Paperback)
....I've loaned this book out several times (actually received it back, too!), and read it cover to cover more than once. Down-to-Earth text, full of advice and bullet points that are at once emphatic and comforting. This book delivers what's important to interview with, what really counts, without leaving you frightened and intimidated. Very unique approach that includes physical, mental, and emotional preparation. Solid advice.

5.0 out of 5 stars You can get the job you want!, March 7, 2010
By
Hazel B. Rich (Connecticut, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Killer Interviews, Revised Edition (Paperback)
Just finished reading the Revised 2010 edition of Killer Interviews: The Best Interview Strategies. Wow! What a find! It is clearly written, well-organized, and easy to read. The Balls have thought of everything to set your mind at ease on how to make your interview successful. It is a real "How To" book on getting the job you want. In my career I interviewed hundreds of candidates for positions. They would have all benefitted from reading this book and learning its strategies and tips for success. It's a sure fire way to stand out in this economy. I'm getting copies for every June graduate I know.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical Easy To Read Guide, February 10, 2010
This review is from: Killer Interviews, Revised Edition (Paperback)
An amazing amount of valuable, practical information in a relatively short and easy-to-read book. The Balls lay out not only useful interviewing tactics, but also a strategy for understanding the interview from the interviewer's point of view and how to make the interview a positive experience for you as well as the interviewer.

A variety of anecdotes illustrate situations and pitfalls in a way that is easy to relate to and effectively drives home their points.

I recommend it highly.
