Just kissed my baby, June 23, 2008
A mostly instrumental album that is absolutely perfect dancing music. The Killer Meters resurrect the sound of the incredible New Orleans funksters 'The Meters'. The playing is immaculate but these guys have feel as well. For the most part the album sounds every inch like the original band - they re-introduce us to the great material of the Meters but is there any improvement?
Well - the one new addition is the amazing 'Just kissed my baby'. A classic song from the Meters canon is given a new treatment with the addition of Karime Kendra's bombastic singing and I have to say that its even an improvement on the original.
Buy it!
