This book is excellent for those who are starting Killer Sudoku puzzles. The book offers some solving strategies, and then gives 120 puzzles divided into three groups, 40 each of easy, medium, and hard. I also found that within these groups the puzzles increase gradually in difficulty.

The book is printed on heavy paper, which tolerates a lot of erasing. The "cages" for all of the puzzles are symmetrical, unlike other books. I think, however, that the solving strategies could have been better. The Times' "Ultimate Killer Sudoku" provides much better strategies, expanding greatly on the "Rule of 45".

If you want to start working Killer Sudoku puzzles, this is a good book on which to start. After this book, pick up the above mentioned "Ultimate Killer Sudoku" book, where the puzzles are all harder than the hardest puzzles in this book.

I got hooked on Killer Sudoku at the Conceptis website, and this huge dead-tree book was a real treat. Even easy "Killer Sudoku" (aka Sum Sudoku) are more challenging than regular sudoku, and the difficult puzzles really are "killer."

Have moved beyond regular Sudoku (even the hard ones) and find that killer Sudoku is a good challenge without being impossible to solve. The book provided many hours of "fun."
