Not a how to use book,
By A Customer
This review is from: Killer Web Design: Netobjects Fusion (Paperback)
Be aware! This is NOT a how to use NetObjects Fusion guide. This is a good book if you're looking for an overall design concepts and philosophy discussion. It does feature an excellent development tool, but barely touches on how the tool works. I did think this book was poorly done from the respect that the author references chapters that don't exist. Points you to Figure numbers that don't exist or are incorrectly numbered, etc. It appears considerable editing was done after the author wrote their references. Rush to press strikes again.

A designer must have a good clue in his or her box of rocks of what he or she is going to do, before diving into the wonderful box of tools call NOF. Thank you Stella & Clement for providing professional help to professionals. I now have a good clue of what to do with my NetObjects Fusion. The user guide and manuals from NOF will give you the how to...... Stella & Clement tell you how to come up with the tough part: An organized plan. This is definitely not a book written by a dummy for a dummy. They are modern Designers who know how to communicate with traditional designers from the old schools of Frank Lloyd Wright and Bauhaus. Bravo ..... you are well trained indeed.

Incredibly Useful Methodology/Planning Book,

This review is from: Killer Web Design: Netobjects Fusion (Paperback)
Wow! Stella Gassaway has written a fantastic book for anyone doing serious Web development. Her description of the DADI process and how it can be used in large projects provides developers and their clients with clear expectations for any project. Even though she focuses on how NetObjects Fusion (an amazing tool) was used in the case studies, the overall process is applicable no matter what tool you are using. Developers should read this book to help with their plannng and development process. Clients who are considering a Web project should read it to learn what to expect, whether they have an internal or external team develop their site. Instructors teaching Web design/development will also find this book useful as a text for their classes. I recommend it to everyone!
