About the Author

Sara L. Heimlich has worked on a variety of cetacean research projects, including a ground-breaking study on short-finned pilot whales in the Canary Islands, where she was co-principal investigator with James Boran.

James R. Boran has been studying cetaceans since the mid-1970s. He has worked on a wide variety of projects but his main research interest is the comparative behavioral and social ecology of cetaceans, primarily dolphins. He is a Graduate Tutor at the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST) in Manchester, England. --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.
