4.0 out of 5 stars Explosive!, December 17, 2011

I bought my first Lee Child novel because the cover caught my eye and now I'm hooked. His character Jack Reacher is a great addition to the world of fiction. Jack Reacher is a man without a home and he loves it that way. He goes from place to place leaving his mark and moving on.

Killing Floor:
When Jack Reacher chose to get off a bus in Georgia, he had no idea it would be a life changing experience. He is first arrested for a crime he knows he did not commit and that is only the beginning of his very bad luck. In Killing Floor Jack Reacher must use much of his military training to survive in the small town of Margrave and bring justice to those closest to him. If a town seems too good to be true, it usually is!

3.0 out of 5 stars Hoping they get better, October 17, 2011

I picked up Killing Floor because it was recommended by a friend. I will say this, Lee Child can write very well. I like the way he draws his characters and his descriptions are top notch. What I had major problems with was the complete lack of research on firearms, the American Military, fighting and numerous other items (like how American Money is made) that were critical to the story. The scenario of the book would have worked, twenty or thirty years ago, but not today - for too many reasons to list here. The writing and story telling were good enough that I could actually let most of the factual inaccuracies go. I'm hoping his other Reacher novels have better research and accuracy.

Fantastic book, amazing series, if you haven't heard of Jack Reacher yet you need to buy this book. I have read all of his books so far and except for one (Nothing to Lose), I have loved them all.
