Killing Lincoln is written in such a way as to make history come alive for the reader, as though you yourself were a participant in the story of Lincoln's last days. The descriptive battle scenes were breathtaking & leave you hanging on the edge of your seat, completely immersed.
When I finished reading this book my first thoughts were that I hope these two authors write a book like this about each of this country's magnificent, historical Leaders.
The book was so good I bought copies for each of our 12 year old grandkids, nieces & nephews as well as 2 adult children.

What a great job by Bill O'Reilly! Everyone should revisit history to see how evil a man can be. His anger had such an impact on whole nation.

Fantastic book. As I neared the chapter on the actual assasination, I hesitated reading. It was almost like not reading about it could prevent the killing. That is how realistic this book is.

This audio book is a must for any long trip as the miles just flew by on our 16 hours drive from Florida to Indiana as we listened to his historical thriller. So much of this story I never learned in school nor in later life. Only downside to this audio book is I am a fan of Bill and know his voice well and would have preferred to have another person read it. Still, whatever your politics are; a good story is a good story and well written no matter who writes it. BUY THIS AUDIO BOOK.

I read this entire book in 2 evenings, it flows and is enthralling. It reads like what it was, a murder committed by an actor, the actor (JWB) sees his crime as the ultimate in drama and O'Reilly simply allows the story to unfold as it happened. I make it a point to read a book about each president, and this does Lincoln justice. I don't understand these reviews that give the book 1 star and claim there is errors, I have read 4 books on number 16 and I dont find any errors, me thinks these negative reviewers read an Al Franken article and not the book itself.
