I read alot of historical books and I found Killing Lincoln both entertaining and informative. I especially liked the way the book followed a time line. I wonder if any recent President would have the fortitude that President Lincoln showed? The book made him much more personal to me and even though I knew some of the information, the author gave me a much better understanding of the events and times and people.

picnic, I certainly agree with you on many counts as for recent Presidents I myself cannot really think of one off hand.
